    • Easy enough to install but it's definitely for a more advanced homeowner
Installation was pretty easy wasn't made very easy in my case because of the temperature that particular day but boy didn't it feel good once it was installed it took about an hour and a half with at the time my pretty limited skills it's definitely a little hefty so you might need help to lift it up into place but the wiring is pretty simple everything is labeled very well and you can put in any light bulbs you want. It's not actually very low profile My room only has 6ft 8in ceilings which aren't really up to the standards for this kind of a fan and if you walk directly under it you bumped your head against the glass cover I believe it's about 14 in from the ceiling to the bottom of the glass cover. It moves more than enough air for smaller bedrooms just be aware that it is 14 in tall. ... show more

    • Excellent fan, very stable, effective and quiet.
I purchased three of these fans... two in white, and one in nickel/black. I would definitely buy them again, as they fit my particular needs perfectly. Everything about the fan installation was simple and straightforward with the exception of one item... installing the blades. Each blade has 3 screws that must be precisely lined up with the holes in the arm off of the motor. The arm is inside the case of the fan and is black. The screws use a large washer, which makes it quite difficult to see to make sure the screws and the holes are lined up. In addition, the screws are not magnetic (high aluminum content, I suspect) which means that attempts to use a magnetic driver to hold the screw fail. Installing the blades for each fan took longer than the rest of the assembly process altogether. At that, it took me less than 30 minutes to install each fan. I do have a recommendation that's a departure from the instructions: You must wire the remote receiver to both the fan and the power provided in the electrical box. The instructions say to do this after the fan is resting on the hook on the ceiling. I instead attached the remote to the fan connections before hanging it, which makes the process much simpler. You're left with 3 connections at the ceiling (Hot, Neutral and Ground.) I particularly like the fact that this fan uses a standard light bulb. While this means that the light fixture portion of the fan is "larger" than many other fans, it also means that the LCD bulbs are easily and inexpensively replaced in the future. I purchased more powerful, Daylight bulbs for each of the fans to match the rest of the lighting in my home. Finally, for those who are interested, I also purchased (separately) the Bond Home Bridge to integrate with my Echo. I used "Alexa" to control most of the lighting and the garage doors in my home. The Bond Bridge simply attaches to a power source, connects to your home WiFi, then integrates with Alexa through a Skill. The Bridge allows you to control up to 30 fans throughout your home, touting coverage of 2,500 square feet and multiple levels. Programming is as simple as pointing the remote at the bridge unit and pressing a button. I now have full voice control over both the fan speed and lighting for all of the fans in my house (some of which are 20 years old,) and the system works beautifully without requiring changes to the hardware in the fan. ... show more

Great fans, they are very quiet and the remote is a great feature. Only issue is that the light takes a bit to come on, had a bit of a delay. All of the 3 fans we installed have the same issue.

    • [SOLVED] Light flickering issues. Everything works perfect now!
[Background] I read reviews before purchasing from others here about their lights flickering but thought I'd be one of those without the issue. I wasn't. I found the install overall to be fairly straightforward and easy. About 10 mins after completing the install I started noticing the random light flickers. I connected with Hunter customer service over their live chat feature on website. The person (Bailey) I connected with right away told me they'd mail me out a different universal receiver unit (model 99106) that will fix my problem. Said that this receiver will fix the problem for flickering lights. I also asked them if it will work with the existing remote that came with the fan and he said it would. 2-3 days later the remote arrived. From that standpoint I found their customer service with Bailey over the chat bot to be great. Immediately took action to fix my issue. Well, I installed the new receiver and of course the original fan remote he told me would work with didn't. So I could turn on and off the lights using the standard wall switch, but the fan remote was useless and I couldn't turn on the fan itself. I discovered that the remote needed to be paired with the new model 99106 receiver in the fan. I had to connect with customer support again to get the pairing code though. Instructions to pair: 1/turn off power to fan and then turn it back on again. 2/Hold down the Speed 0 (center button) and Speed 3 buttons on the remote for 5-10 seconds. After I did that the fan is now working with the original remote AND the lights don't flicker! [Solution] If your lights flicker contact Hunter customer service (chat bot on website works well) and request them to send you a new receiver, model number 99106. It wires up the same as your original receiver. Once installed follow my instructions to pair listed above. [Alternate solution] Purchase universal receiver/remote kit off Amazon and replace your Hunter brand receiver and remote. Kits are around $20-$30 off Amazon. ... show more

    • Fantastic quality ceiling fan, easy to assemble. Solid. Quiet.
The fan was packed very well, and assembly was per the instructions. It took a hour or two to hang on the ceiling including the removal of the old fan, prepping the wires, and attaching the new wires. This fit great on the existing ceiling box. Mine was properly affixed to the wood frame. Otherwise I would strongly recommend using a ceiling mount box to span the joists. The fan works great, is "heavy" solid construction, well made. The three speeds are perfect, on the #3 high speed it does make noise from moving a LOT of air. We use it at night on #2 on hot nights The light / dimmer is a very nice feature, lights up the entire room. ... show more
