We first purchased it for our primary bedroom and immediately fell in love with the sleek black finish and beautiful wood accents — it adds the perfect modern yet warm touch to the space. It’s quiet, stylish, and provides excellent airflow, making the room so comfortable year-round. We loved it so much that we ended up purchasing one for each bedroom in our home! Just a heads-up: installation can be a little tricky. Out of the three fans we installed, we hired an electrician for two of them to make sure everything was done properly. I love this fan. I installed it when remodeling our master bedroom last year. I've enjoyed it so much that I bought another one for my home office. I can't speak to the effectiveness of the remote as I installed it without it (using the wall switches already in my room because they matched the decor. I do wish the remote was separate and didn't need to be installed in the wall. For as beautiful as the fan is, the remote switch is pretty ugly. Wouldn't be an issue if I could hid it in a drawer. All in all, I highly recommend this fan. It's effective, and even at max speed is super stable and quiet (a rare feat in ceiling fans in my experience). This fan is the perfect addition to our bedroom! Living in Florida I've always wanted a pretty light fixture over the bed but just can't live without the dreaded ceiling fan in each room. This stunner is both functional fan and beautiful light fixture so I couldn't pass it up especially at the great price on Amazon! It arrived quickly and in perfect condition. I've installed several ceiling fans through the years so I wasn't concerned with this. It took a minute longer than expected simply because of the new transponder included with this fan (it isn't the same as all of the other Hunter or Hampton Bay fans in our home.) The in ceiling transponder communicates with the in-wall remote and having an existing light switch to power this fan outlet on left me trying to figure out how to close the loop to get this fan to operate via light switch and remote to control dimming and fan speed. I didn't experience any other issues and this was up and running in under an hour with no extra help needed. ... show more

I purchased two Hepburn fans and each is experiencing tons of problems. The first fan simply doesn't work. The light switch panel cant communicate with the fan and isn't able to change the fan speed (fan is stuck on) and won't turn the light on or off. The company was well aware of this common issue in this fan and sent me a new receiver, which I now have to pay to have installed into the body of the fan. This is not a fast, easy or cheap solution. The second fan I purchased worked well for a few months only and is now making loud creaking sounds every time it is turned on. These fans are good-looking, that is true. Everything else about them is not worth the trouble. The company is only somewhat helpful. AVOID THIS FAN. I'm having both fans replaced and won't be buying from hunter again. *REMOTE is horrible and does not work. *Install is a pain and requires a battery replacement in your wall-mounted control panel, this is a truly bad design. *The noise level is bad. LOUD. first a loud low hum then major creaking sounds. ... show more

Beautiful! But a complete pain in the rear to install, we’ve had two people try to wire and install this fan and it just won’t work…we even called the fans company and had an additional part shipped to us (at no price) and it still didn’t work. Wish we got just a pull string fan now :(

I absolutely love this fan. The old one in our room was so loud and didn’t circulate the air in the room in the ways we needed. We were desperate for a low sounding fan that looked pretty to the eye. After using it for a week, we have decided we would buy this again for other areas in our home. We put the controls on our wall and it’s easy to use. Beautiful fan that is quiet and moves more air than expected. Installation was more difficult than a fan without the "remote" switch but wasn't a big deal. We are having an issue with the light flickering on and off every few minutes, even a a lower light level. The bulb we installed is a Sylvania LED which says consumes no more than 11W of power. This is less than the max allowed base on what I've read on the Hunter support website. I've contacted their customer support and unless I get an answer I'll be returning this before the return window closes. Hopefully we can get this fixed because it really is a nice fan. Update - the flickering on/off of the fan and lights is a known issue - you see it mentioned in reviews on many, many sites. I could never get their system to work correctly even after following their instructions. I found a solution in online forums and just wired directly from switches to fan - threw their remote switch in the garbage. Used dimmer switches for both fan and light. Worked like a champ. We enjoyed this fan so much we've added a couple more - all wired directly. ... show more
