It's oyster season! This kit came with a wide oyster knife and a thinner knife and two sets of cut proof gloves. Gloves are good quality and definitely cut resistant. Both oyster knives are good quality. The handle on the black oyster knife, at least for me, is somewhat easier to grip and hold (probably because of the indentations) than the wood handled oyster knife. But both work well at opening oyster shells.

Cheaply made 2 of the lids are useless due to poor quality inspection and not being able to attach handles to it.

Every thanksgiving my family does shucked oysters before dinner and this year we had a hard time finding oyster knives and we're using regular work gloves so I ordered this set for my step father and it's perfect. Comes with a set of impenetrable gloves so you don't hurt yourself while shucking as well as one shucking knife and another knife for scraping! Perfect stocking stuffer as well!

After a friend stuck an oyster knife in his palm, we started using a safety glove. This set is a nice combo of glove plus the two sizes knives for how big of a shell you need to crack. Price is good for the 3 item set, and knives feel durable enough for years of use. Two thumbs up!

These are some nice oyster shucking knives and cut resistant gloves. The shape of the black handled knife makes twisting oysters open and cutting the meat out a breeze. The brown wooden handle works great for clams. I personally liked it for cutting avocados as well. The gloves are protective and feel like they're made of good quality materials that should hold up for years. Recommended.
