Great ice machine. Holds one gallon of water at a time which makes plenty of ice for 2 for a day or more. The ice comes out in sheets which I don’t care for much but it’s pretty easy to break up with an ice pick so not bad, just a little more work than the bullet ice machine I had before but also makes way more ice which is good. I put the sheets of ice into a plastic bowl to break them up with the pick but careful not to poke a hole in the bowl with the pick!(You can also put them into a zip lock bag to freeze instead of a plastic bowl but I was going thru way too many bags by banging them on the sink to break them up for use. Seemed like such a waste & lots of plastic in the landfills to) I freeze the broken up ice in that same bowl until it’s harder. When it’s frozen hard I take it out of the freezer & gently bang the bowl on the counter till the cubes break into manageable size cubes.I then put the cubes into the old ice container that came with my refrigerator’s ice container,then put it into the freezer for use. It’s more work than having an auto ice maker on the fridge but our built-in ice maker kept breaking down so this was a good solution for us. It’s portable so can be taken anywhere with an electrical outlet. Noise level isn’t bad-when the ice fell into the basket the first few times I jumped but I’ll get used to it I’m sure. I’m very pleased with this purchase and recommend it to anyone.

First off, I was surprised how quiet the unit it given so many people complain about the noise. It has a little muffin fan like those on computer cases. It's just a slight whirring sound. Loudest part is when the ice dumps. It takes a while when you first start it to produce ice. If you stand there to watch it it's like watching paint dry. Once it gets going it's a little faster. If you need ice, I would start at least a couple hours in advance to start collecting it. If you realize this isn't a commercial ice maker but an inexpensive consumer kitchen counter device, I think you will be pleased. My main concern is keeping it clean, but that's going to be an issue with any machine. So far so good. I recommend based on my first experiences with it.

The media could not be loaded. Third party seller from Amazon. Amazon has no contact information for them. Can't return because its 4 months after purchase date. Book unclear on how to take apart to clean. It doesn't tell me how to take the evaporator out just that it can come out

If you are in need of an ice maker that can produce ice fast and efficiently, Humhold is what you need. This product has a sleek stainless design that is able to fit right on the counter. The display is easy to read with electric display and easy to use buttons. Also comes with a handy ice scoop. After receiving and letting it sit for a day, I started to make ice. The machine is very quiet. I ran it all day and not once did it interfere with talking, watching TV, naps, etc. This is a product that you could have running during a social event, have ice ready all the time, and not have to listen to a loud annoying hum. It has different size settings to let you choose thickness of ice. Ice bin has a full sensor so you don’t over fill it. It is very easy to clean and move for it is not very heavy. I would definitely recommend this ice maker.

After it chills down (which isn't long) it starts popping ice out. I can fill a 3-gallon Tupper style container in less than an afternoon. I'm never out of ice anymore. Call me a happy man. The only criticism I have is that there's no manual for this model. After a fruitless Internet search I tried every button combination until I figured out that press-and-hold on the timer/clean button runs the clean cycle. Boom! Worked fine!

The ice maker arrived sooner than expected and we started making ice right away. Guys, this ice maker is a game changer! Very easy to use, I love I can adjust the thickness of the ice. The noise level is minimal- it’s quieter than my dishwasher or air fryer. We don’t have an ice maker on our fridge, this is so much easier and faster than traditional ice cube trays. No taste to the cubes- which is ideal. We already have a stockpile of ice in the freezer now! My only regret is not ordering sooner!
