It makes me happy there are people who will return a bike because of little fender dents/scrapes and people who return bikes because assembly is too challenging. Those folks supply Amazon Warehouse with the heavily discounted items I'll gladly buy. The Huffy Fairmont 26" Ladies Cruiser bike I ordered (for my Mom) and received promptly from Amazon Warehouse was exactly what I expected. I'm assuming the previous customer partially (unsuccessfully) assembled this prior to returning it. It had a couple fender dings and minor paint scrapes on the frame. One tire was inflated and buldged off the rim, but that was NOT a defect! It was simply sloppy assembly. It took me a little under an hour to un-ding and align the fenders, adjust and regrease the overly tight wheel bearings, properly center and reinflate the tires (NO LEAKS at all after 4 days), secure the coaster brake arm in the correct position, install the handlebars, and assemble and adjust the seat. I don't normally ride ladies bicycles, but I had to take this one for a test ride around the block. This is definately an upright seated CRUISER bike. Very solid feeling frame, easy to pedal, and silky smooth ride. I really LIKE the lower frame step-through design. Good for light exercise and light grocery shopping (once a rear rack and front basket are installed). I am 5'10" and with the seat near maximum height the pedals were still a little closer than ideal for me... IF I were riding for more than a couple miles. However, the seat adjustment range should be perfect for Mom :-) I remember reverse pedal coaster brakes from my youth (>50 years ago). The coaster brake on this bike works just fine, but it may seem weak for those used to high performance disc brakes. This is NOT a high performance racing bike. A single gear and coaster brake make it VERY SIMPLE to adjust, ride, and maintain. I am very pleased with this purchase and can recommend this bike for its intended end users. ... show more

Enjoy the cruiser!! Would have more stars however, upon opening the package the rear fender was creased and bent. Doesn’t affect the ride. Just not a perfect review. Hope I can get a replacement fender, to much hassle to send entire bike back.. plus it’s a decent bike.

    • Great Bike Cheap Pedals

This bike is nice when it is all assembled and my girlfriend said it rides like a dream. The one big down fall is that the pedals are cheap and when my girlfriend was riding it for the second time yesterday. The pedal fell off the bike. I looked at the threads on the pedal and on the crank and both were stripped. I have to contact huffy and see what can be done about this issue. Looks like I need a new crank and pedals for it. But other than that issue it is a great bike. ... show more

    • Better than nothing bike but soon became nothing!

Easy to assemble but that's about it. Bought this bike to commute between buildings at work. The seat is about as uncomfortable as it gets. There is little support in the seat and it creaks with every cycle of the pedal and you cannot stay centered as it has no support. The pedal bearings started clicking within two weeks. Had to replace the seat to something quieter and with full support Three months after purchase, both tires were flat. Re-inflated both but within hours, both were flat again. I thought it was vandalism at first. I brought the bike home to patch the holes. I was able to remove the tires and tubes from the rims without tools. The fit is that loose and is extremely dangerous if the tires are not fully inflated. I soon discovered that the leaks were not the act of vandalism but defects in manufacturing. The leaks on both were at the point the schrader valves are glued to the inner tube. Bought two new tubes at the local bike barn and the bike is back in service but the bearing click is getting louder and will soon fail. This bike is junk and should be avoided. $172.00 down the drain! ... show more

This was my Christmas present my husband purchased for me. I absolutely love my bike. The details on the bike are beautiful. The pictures do not give it justice. The pictures indicate the bike was red white and blue. The red color is a detail that is actually bubble gum pink. The flowers on the seat, body of the bike are both a beautiful touch. I especially love riding it! Absolutely a smooth ride. My husband said is was not hard to put together. If you are looking for a bike with detail and one well constructed, definitely this one would be a great choice.     • Nice bike for the most part

The bike has been good for the most part. I’ve enjoyed it so far for the Past month+ I’ve had it. Though there were some issues. 1. The fenders got bent in transportation, but the package is heavy and with likely 1 person carrying it I can let that go. 2. The pedals are 50/50. One of them held on fine like a champ, the other one sheered all of its own threads off after a little use, luckily didn’t damage the threads on the arm, so I bought a higher quality pair to replace both. Smooth sailing as of now. 3. Kickstand is coming loose and not holding the bike up anymore. Didn’t come with the right sized tool and all of my Allen wrenches are too small. Haven’t seen the size in the instructions for it either so I’m searching around online for ideas on a size. Otherwise the bike has been solid so far ... show more
