  • Amazing product… make sure for larger pools get two sets
Size: No Size Style: Green to Blue
A little pricy but very effective on removing algae. We have used a few times because of user error. 1. Make sure you buy the right amount for your pool. We had to get two boxes for our 40,000 pool. 2. Make sure you test all chemicals and balance before using: ph, CYA and preferably a decent amount of chlorine. Check for leaks too. The chemicals do dissolve well and it works wonderfully but if your other chemicals are out of wack it will not work as intended. Our issues had to do with keeping CYA at a level to hold our chlorine. I only wish the flocc was liquid. ... show more

  • It worked
Size: No Size Style: Green to Blue
Cleared the pool overnight. Added step 1 and filtered for a few hours until dissolved. Then turned to circulate and added step 2 for about 3 hours. Turned off pump overnight. Everything sank to the bottom and the water was clear. Vacuum to waste, then added a little more water to replace it. Pretty easy and quick results. Pool is 12, 500 gallon and I used 1 box. Says treats up to 20,000 gallon though. ... show more

  • Worked Great on a Very Green Pool Worked Great on a Very Green Pool
Size: No Size Style: Green to Blue
I give this 5 stars. My pool was really green and in rough shape when I started. It was literally like a pond, tadpoles and all. It took a lot of vacuuming and consistent work, but after about a week of following the treatment and keeping up with the cleaning, my pool is looking great. It’s still just a little cloudy, but the transformation has been impressive. I did have to use two treatments to get the results I wanted, but considering how bad the pool was, I expected that. If you’re willing to stay consistent and put in the work, this product definitely delivers. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Wow, what a terrible mess!
Size: No Size Style: Green to Blue
Our 25,000 gallon pool started growing algae on the pool walls. I wanted to take quick action as all the grandkids were coming over next week. I evenly applied the 4 packets of "Advanced 1" across the pool, and worked the bottom to ensure all material was dissolved (took about an hour). Then I turned on the recirculation pump and slowly poured the "Advanced 2" packet into the pool skipper as directed. Within 15 minuted the pool pump slowed to 20% due to my 4 large filters being terribly clogged. RESET 1...I stopped the pump, removed the full set of filters, and cleaned each of them with a water jet spray, resealed the filters into their pressure container and reset the pump. RESET 2....Pump pressure and water flow was normal for 30 minutes, then degraded within the hour. I stopped the pump again, removed the full set of filters, and cleaned each of them again. RESET 3....Pump pressure and water flow was normal for first hour, then degraded in 2 hours. yep, had to start all over cleaning out the filters. By now it is getting dark and had to stop for the day DAY 2.....Pool water is still super-cloudy and cannot see bottom drain. Restarted pool pump. It lasted about 2 hours this morning and again clogged. I am hesitant to put in 4 new filters for fear of ruining them as well. So still using my 1-year old filters in hopes of clearing out most of the micro-particulate materials suspended in the water first. Then I will replace filters. I see no improvement in the super-cloudy particulate water but will continue the process. THIS WAS NOT THE PLAN. I only hope I can get the water clear enough for the grandkids this week. The amount of time spent so far is just crazy, and no remedy in sight yet. Some customers are happy, but I will forever AVOID THIS PRODUCT and MANUFACTURER. ... show more

  • Clean the leaves out before you start
Size: No Size Style: Green to Blue
This is my second year using Green To Blue. I was confused about how to use the product the first year. When I was finished it all made sense to me so this year I was much more successful cleaning my pool. I don’t have a pool cover so this is a three step process for me instead of two steps. 1. Prep you pool. By this I mean take your skimmer and clean as much debris, sunken leaves and such, off the bottom as you can. I had a ton of leaves hidden in that green, murky mess. I knew where the leaves collected and swept every day for a week. Because of the murk I never knew what I was going to drag out. The less debris you have the better this product woks. 2. Use the correct amount of shock according to directions on the box and bag. Filter your pool. 3. After the shock is thoroughly mixed in, pour in the clarifier. Recirculate without filtering for an hour. Let it sit still overnight to allow all the particulates to settle to the bottom of the pool. Set the pump to discharge and vacuum your pool. Mine was so bad I had to shock the pool a second time. The pool was cleaner but not clean. I could see all the settled debris and swept the floor again. The fewer leaves in the pool the better the product works. Repeat shocking, vacuuming, and debris removal until your pool is clean. If this seems excessive that is a reflection of the condition of my pool not the product. I think I could have walked in that water. It sparkles now. Oh, the product does not turn your water blue. At least it didn’t turn my water blue. ... show more
