(I am writing this on behalf of my elderly father who bought this piece of junk in December of 2024) Shame on you, hp! SHAME. ON. YOU. My elderly father bought this in December of 2024 and has had nothing but problems with it. It freezes up and the ONLY way to get it to work is for my 85 year old father to get on his hands and knees to crawl under his desk to unplug it. I have spent close to FIVE hours with customer support via chat and/or phone trying to get this resolved. We were told that he cannot receive a refund and is only eligible for an exchange. BUT, they first have to prove that it is a hardware issue. After 5 hours receiving "help" it is clear that the intent is not to look for a hardware issue but, rather, to wear their customers down so that they just give up. CONGRATULATIONS - YOU WIN! We are tossing this piece of junk and I will buy him a new one (NOT hp). We both have owned nothing but hp computers and printers and have been members of the instant ink subscription for years. Capability- Honestly, the best purchase I’ve made of 2025. I have printed over 3000 pages and it’s still working great. Honestly, completely worth the price you’re paying for. I print probably about four days out of the week and I’ve had the printer since February. Color quality- Does amazing but sometimes too saturated if there is a colored filter on the photos. You can always adjust the settings in the app. Ink capacity- I have printed over 3000 pages and around 40 photos and I’m still working on the same ink bottles I got with the printer. Scanning capabilities- The scanner works great other than it prints at a much slower rate. Also, I’ve used the scanner so much it now squeals a little bit. Compatibility- I print solely from my phone and it works great. If you’re printing from the app, you can’t use your phone while it’s printing but if you print from your google drive, you can still use your phone and leave the page. Hotspot- Using the printer from your mobile hotspot is a hit or a miss sometimes it works great and sometimes I have a little bit of trouble but that might be because of where I’m at. Majority of the time I have no issues. I’ve been printing safety data sheets for my work and those are 12 - 15 pages long and when on my hotspot, I can only print 3 copies of the packets if I try and print 4 copies of the packet it doesn’t work. Ink filling- Easiest process in the world. Never a mess. I’m giving this product a four star for the fact that sometimes I have connectivity issues when printing off my hotspot, but that may also be because of the area I’m in. The only thing I have not figured out is to get the unlimited ink for two years. I also haven’t run out of ink so I have not had to deep dive into that. ... show more

First off, I never leave reviews or answer surveys or anything like this. I want to praise the heck out of this printer. I got this printer and computer duo to take a chance, and I am seriously so happy I did choose hp rather than any other brand. I've been terrified of printers since I was kid and they always intimidated me, seeming fragile and very easy to mess up. I can't believe 1. that i purchased a printer and 2. that it IS SO EASY AND NICE!!! I put off getting this out of the delivery box because I was dreading a set up thinking it would be overwhelming and i was scared to mess things up. They send you a paper guide with pictures and explain every single detail. They also install the printer app on your computer and you can troubleshoot anything. They include a reference guide in the paper packet that shows any code that could pop up and how to fix it!! I thought I messed something up when I went to print my test page. I saw the code pop up on the printer "E3" which freaked me out, but it just meant that I didn't close something all the way.. This thing is great, no need to hesitate or freak out like i did!! ... show more

Update: My original review was written about three months after purchasing product. It has now been about six months. I can't take it any more. I have tried every fix I could find online and via HP customer service. This printer does not print reliably....ever. So many errors. Typically takes me four or five tries to get a document to print. I think it is working and walk away only to find it didn't print after all. Who has time in their life to spend 10-15 minutes trying to work out bugs every time they want to print something. So...today I reached my limit and smashed the thing to bits. I'm not kidding. I have had it with this printer and couldn't even wish it on someone else enough to give it away. Good riddance!!! __________________________________The print quality is just OK. I am not printing photos or anything that needs to be super high-quality, so I am good with that. When it prints, I’d say that 80% of the time I get an error message and have to cancel the print job. Then I have to unplug the machine and let it reset and plug it back in. Sometimes it takes four or five tries before I actually get a document. Sometimes I give up and walk away. I really regret this purchase. ... show more
