The hardware is great, similar of what to expect from other leading brand high speed bulk scanner units. The software experience is awful. After installation of the full software suite, by default, the scanning button does nothing. The scanning tool is far from straight forward of how to configure the scanner button to work, the windows scanner configuration panel doesn't quite do the job either. When you DO manage to get the scanner button to work, it takes a good 10+ seconds to respond and begin scanning even on a decent recent spec computer using a USB SS / USB 3.0 interface. When opening the scanner software, it takes forever to load even on this high spec computer. Remember how long it took for photoshop to load in 2004? It takes longer than that. I am not impressed at all. The poor software experience makes it a deal breaker and it will be returned. ... show more
