Top Amazon Reviews

  • Printer did not include pin code for 2 years of ink services
I purchased this despite some of the reviews commenting on the printer not being ready for prime time; however, it was Black Friday, so I took a chance. I set up the printer, which is nice; hardware issues seem to have been resolved. I go to the website 2YearsInk.HPInstantInk.com per the sticker on the printer. The website asks for the pin code, and I locate my "8 months" of hassle-free printing pin code. I think, surely, this must be a mistake, and they meant to include a 2-year pin code. I enter the pin code; not valid. I enter the printer code; not valid. I search the box and all materials; no pin code. I call the number; "outside working hours." So yes, not ready for prime time. I may update my review when I get through, waiting on hold to talk to someone at HP. This is a small business printer. Business owners are busy people; we have businesses to run. Disappointed that HP has not thought better of their customer's time. This could have been handled so much better. Follow-up #1 (Dec 5, 2020): I talked with Mary at HP technical support today. After waiting on hold for 30 minutes, I was connected. She was nice enough, but after 45 minutes, including emailing my Amazon receipt and pictures from the box materials, I find that she cannot do anything to help. All we did was effectively follow the 8-month process (of free ink, $40 value), and I created an HP account with this prepaid amount. I am now expecting a call from HP after reviewing with upper management to resolve what comes next. Luckily, I have an option to return until Jan 31, 2021. That may very well be the case if not resolved satisfactorily. -- Not satisfied with HP, I contacted Amazon with a much more helpful result. I talked with Jimwell, who was knowledgeable and helpful. The net difference between what HP has provided ($40, which equates to 100 pages/month subscription) and the 2 years (300 pages/month) is $200. Amazon helped immediately by providing a 15% discount (which does not cover the full difference), but it is a start. HP is due to contact me on Dec 14. More to follow. Amazon (Jimwell) closed with please contact us after you talk with HP, "we have your back." Not fully resolved but much, much better support. Upped rating to two-stars based on Amazon improvement. -- Follow-up #2 (December 14, 2020): I received a call from HP Instant Ink today. It was a quick call that respected my time. They credited an extra $288 to my account (on top of the $40 previously). I have upped the rating to 5 stars as the product is good, and although it was inconvenient to have to go through this process, both Amazon and HP have delivered upon customer service. The result is that the cost of the printer is effectively 3 years of a printing-as-a-service arrangement. I will still require paper, but the ink is no longer a consideration, and the printer prints well. If no follow-ups from this one, then all has gone well with ink deliveries and performance. Thank you - I hope that the review is helpful. csbeau ... show more

  • All home offices need this printer
1 YEAR UPDATE STILL THE BEST PRINTER I’VE EVER PURCHASED. I honestly don’t understand the bad reviews. Let me clear a few things up. *No insta-ink is NOT A SCAM. *YES you get 2 years free ink. I still have $154 dollars left on my account and I print A LOT. I just upped my plan to 500 pages per month. Do the math. Insta-ink is not a ripoff. It’s very reasonable *You don’t have to subscribe to use this printer *you don’t have to have a HP account, internet or give a credit card number to use the printer *set up is extremely easy *you DO NOT have to be tech savvy to set up or use this printer Hope this helps with your decision because this printer makes my work day easier I wish I could give 10 ⭐️ I set up the printer in under 10 minutes. Super easy. Print quality is amazing. The HP Smart App is a game changer. To be able to scan receipts from my phone and fax, email out print from anywhere is a home office dream. ... show more

  • BUYER BEWARE! I WAS SOLD A USED PRINTER DRESSED AS NEW!
Just don't, not from Amazon I called HP and was told my BRAND NEW, FULL PRICED...HIGH PRICED OfficeJet Premier printer has 4 months of manufacturer warranty left. HOW? ITS NEW! RIGHT, AMAZON?! ANNOYED TO SAY THE DAMN LEAST! Then I find out the ink cartridges provided isn't Instant Ink compatible and will need to be replaced...Idk how I feel about that as idk if that's normal to start. The display...oh my goodness. Shame on you HP! SHAME ON YOU! The display is so small and choppy I just cannot take it! Not for the price. Also, in case you were wondering, the Premier does ALL the same things as the $230 (on sale) 9015. LITERALLY. The only differences are the price, the look, the alleged better build which after comparing doesn't seem that far off to me, and the additional year and a half of instant ink (You get 6 months free with the 9015 and 9025 which is more upgraded than the Premier and faster) Can you believe that? I spoke to three diff HP reps who could not tell any other differences besides paying for ink upfront (2 years of instant ink added into initial cost) and the dang USB port being on the front for the Premier vs on the side in the 9015 which is SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper lmao! Unbelievable. Can you say rip off? I really want to keep her but I just cannot. Mind you I bought the printer on Jan 12, 2023. Don't waste your money on the beautiful Premier. It's gorg and much more better and modern looking than the others which is why I chose it, but yeah nah this ain't it HP. Tech was difficult to get ahold of. I was transferred and hung up on by the auto system. I read that help was 24hrs....when transfered TWICE, the tech dept was closed lmao Nope, I'm good. Set up was super easy though. Although I had one weird paper jam error literally at start up on the display, which is odd because I hadn't added any in...Print quality is good and decently fast. I mean this for both picture and print. The HP app works well for printing and is fast! Love that. But now the Instant Ink bit won't load, AT ALL! 🥲 It just spins away. OH and in order to print, you have to download TWO apps not ONE like advertised. The HP app sends you to an additional one if you print through it.. And if you have any issues, gonna get redirected OUT of the app and taken to a website where ya gotta create yet another dang account...TIRESOME! The virtual assistant is a JOKE if you need real help. It takes you in circles. The only fast help I got was for... you guessed it...SALES! It's a shame you have to jump through so many loops just to print nowadays. Def do more research before buying than me. Check out some YouTube vids on Instant Ink and the HP+ differences before signing up. There are major ones i.e the fact that HP+ locks you into original HP ink cartridges for the LIFE of the printer (selling point for 9015 and 9025, not the Premier but yeah) And AT ALL COST MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE ORIGINAL MANUFACTURER WARRANTY (1 YEAR) on top of the 2 year CARE plan LEFT. CALL HP OR CHAT LIVE AND GIVE THEM THE SERIAL NUMBER ON THE INFO SCREEN TO VERIFY! One last thing, the rep told me I could add an extended warr for $121 for the Premier and the 9025, next level up, and $94 for the 9015 as long as it has SOME original warr left (I have four months). I said well dang, first off, I shouldn't need it with a 2 yr Care plan and manufacturer warr but thanks ig. Rant over. As for you Amazon, you've got some explaining to do! (I asked them btw, they said "please return" lmfao whaaaaat, really?!) ... show more

  • HP hasn't let me down yet!
After 13 years with FEMA, and working with HP machines all that time, I know how durable and dependable they are. At home, we have HP laptops and now (thanks to my insistence) an HP printer. This one is no exception to the quality that HP builds into their printers. The technology is great. We can print from our phones, no matter where we are. The print jobs are always top notch, even pictures come out great. Adding this printer to our home network was a snap, as was finding it with our laptops and loading the software. I may have a slight advantage, being an IT manager for so long. But, even if I weren't, this still would have been a breeze. I also like this program of getting ink whenever I need it, shipped to me with no hassle, especially the first two years for FREE. How can you beat that deal? Very happy with HP and this all in one. Five stars. ... show more
