I've used HP printers for about 35 years. They perform very well, and are packed with features. This printer is proving to do just as well. This is a fairly large printer, designed for small to medium business. I have it's daddy, designed for enterprise printing. This printer prints black and white only. It prints over 30 pages per minute. It is LAN ready as well as WiFi ready. I have it connected directly to my LAN so any computer on my network can use it. Very nice! It has a 250 sheet paper tray. That means you don't have to put more paper in as often. It has an automatic document feeder with a 50 sheet capacity, and it duplexes, meaning it can print and scan both sides of the paper without you having to do anything! I REALLY like duplex printing! It uses half as much paper! It has a nice, small touchscreen display, and it has a USB-A 2.0 socket. You can save a document, save it to a USB drive, then plug the USB drive into the printer which will then print the document. SUPER nice! You can print from your smartphone directly - or from your tablet computer. SO convenient! You can even scan a document and have the scan sent to an email address. Slick! This is a great printer. It even has an app you can install on your smartphone. The app allows you to print anything directly from your phone. A Now I have a small HP, this midsize HP printer, and a big HP printer. The headline says it all...this is an excellent printer that we have come to expect from HP. The printer was well packed and easy to setup. The Wi-Fi setup was straightforward - I had it working in under five minutes. I can print from my smartphone and laptop easy peasy. There is an option to use a USB cable so direct connection if you so desire. The toner was easy to install - remember to shake the toner before inserting into the carriage. The printer is very fast. Since most of my printing needs are for black and white documents, this is an ideal printer for my work and personal use. The paper tray holds about a half of ream. The printer is also a copier and scanner. The HP software that loads on your device allows for copying and scanning of documents. This all-in-one device obviates the need for separate devices for copying and scanning. The feature I like the best is two-sided copying - this will save me money on paper costs over the years. Overall, this is the king of all laser printers - you can't go wrong with an HP LaserJet printer - a wise investment. ... show more

The HP LaserJet Pro MFP 3101sdw Printer checks off all the boxes we need for a monochromatic printer. The only exception is that it's huge and takes up a great deal or real estate. It may not work for smaller workrooms or spaces. The printer was easy to set up and print wirelessly. It only took a few prompts and the printer found the network quickly and connected after inputting the password. It does take more time to address scan to email and scan to computer; requiring HP app and computer downloads. The printer printed 16 pages double sided in under a minute. The prints also came out sharp and with high quality black tones. This is definitely a win over the mini HP that I've been using. Overall, this printer is a monster in size given that it has a large scan bed and double-sided capability. But it's definitely a workhorse in that it prints fast and it prints quality copies. If you have the space and only need to make B/W prints this may be the printer for you. I would recommend giving it a try. ... show more

I've been using printers from HP at home since my early college years. This is the 3rd one from HP over many years and I am now in their ink program so I don't have to worry about running out inks (only worth it if you do regularly use the printer). While my previous one is still working, the front part of the tray was broken so I was planning to get the new one when I move (in a couple of months). By the way, I also have a Canon printer that I barely used but because of the HP program, I wanted to stay with HP. Also, the Canon one is rather large ( this one is moderately sized in my opinion). This showed up in impeccable timing, and I am happy with this model as well! They also have a great service (I can confidently say this over my 10 years of experience with them), so you can never go wrong. Currently, on the limited-time deal, this is a great value for the price ( I am assuming it will be at a similar price point during prime day as well). ... show more

    • Definitely what I needed
HP made a nice quality printer here that suits my needs and then some. It came well packaged with good padding to protect it during shipping. I was able to set it up and have it paired to my computer and Wi-Fi within 10-15 minutes. I made some test prints to verify that it’s working properly and the quality of the prints were great. I also tested my phone and iPad’s ability to connect to it and print and I had no issues. I hope hp doesn’t sell half dry ink cartridges like I saw online in the past. This is a great printer for anyone that’s looking for office work it is only black-and-white so keep that in mind but what a good quality it is for small business owners or a little homework. I would recommend this anybody that’s looking for a black-and-white printer very reliable brand as well.
