I smoke in my computer room and this may not actually eliminate smoke itself, but it does eliminate the smell of it and sure makes the room smell nice. I have it on the lowest setting, and don't smell smoke at all anymore. Best air freshener I've ever tried. I definitely recommend it.

My home office is also a storeroom and thus it isn't the freshest smelling room on the planet. But I've used air fresheners before and they have always left me feeling sick. It doesn't help that I once got a stomach flu while using a particular air freshener and now associate that berry scented cone with throwing up. So I didn't have high hopes. But I bought this and gave it a try anyway. First I set it to the very lowest setting, and in 5 minutes the 300 SF room smelled so strongly that I nearly sent it back! However, I gave it a few days because I had promised myself that I wouldn't take my first reaction. Surprisingly, the initial scent lasted about 4 days and then it died down to the point that it is barely noticeable except when I first walk into the room. It's still there, but much less. I don't know why it makes such a strong smell at first, but my recommendation is that you plug this in in your garage for a few days and then bring it inside and use it, you'll be much happier with the smell after it's been running. It's been about a month now, and I'm still happy with it. The scent is like laundry detergent, but in a good way. I think I'll try other scents in the future but I'm happy with this one so I'll go back to this one if I don't like the other scents. ... show more
