  • Recommend this Printer
Arrived securely packaged and on time. The printer is light is sleek and attractive. Installation instructions require Internet access and installation of the HP app (which I suggest be done prior to beginning the process). Note the pin number on the back of the unit as you will need that during the set up process. The QR code did not access the.HP website with my iPhone or iPad so I manually connected using my laptop. The instructions are easy to follow however,it took a couple of tries before the ink cartridges locked in. The transfer of my automatic ink delivery for my old unit to this new one was seamless. Once installed I tested printing from the Internet and had no problems. The copies are crisp, beautiful and colors are true to original. I highly recommend this printer to anyone for moderate use. (it comes with a one year warranty.) ... show more

  • Nice all in one printer
I didI conducted thorough research on this all-in-one printer, and I must say, it has proven to be a wise decision. Setting it up was incredibly straightforward, and it offers excellent value for the money. The print quality is impressive, and the printer operates quietly. While I’m not certain about the ink life yet, that would depend on your usage. Overall, I’m thoroughly satisfied with my all-in-one printer. I appreciate its compact size, which is just the right amount of space. This is just my opinion. ... show more

  • Bought a Printer… Accidentally Started a Cat Photography Business Bought a Printer… Accidentally Started a Cat Photography Business
I bought this printer for typical home-office tasks, but the very first thing I printed wasn't a document. It was a picture of my orange cat. Then another. Then another. Before I knew it, I had somehow created an entire collection of professionally printed cat photos and was evaluating image quality based on whether Potato's majestic orange fur was being properly represented. Thankfully, the printer passed the test. Setup was straightforward, the wireless connection was easy to configure, and I was printing within minutes. The print quality for both documents and photos has been excellent. Colors look vibrant, text comes out sharp, and photo prints are surprisingly impressive for a home all-in-one printer. I also appreciate having all of these features in one device: - Printing - Scanning - Copying - Automatic duplex printing The duplex printing has already saved me from wasting paper, and scanning documents is quick and painless. One thing I wasn't expecting was how often I'd use the wireless printing feature. Being able to send prints directly from my phone (way more often than you probably imagine) or computer without dealing with cables is incredibly convenient. The included Instant Ink trial is also a nice bonus, especially for anyone who prints regularly. I print but not that often so I plan to cancel that. What I like most is that this printer simply works. No mysterious setup rituals. No spending an hour convincing the printer that Wi-Fi exists. No dramatic printer-versus-human battles. Instead, I clicked print and received a high-quality photograph of an orange cat staring judgmentally into the distance... exactly as intended! Whether you're printing family photos, school documents, work materials, or an entirely unreasonable number of cat pictures, this printer does an excellent job. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • Garbage
I can't speak for anybody else's experience, but mine was dismal. Very shortly after installation, it stopped responding to my computer and no amount of troubleshooting or "support" has made the slightest difference. I will be the first to admit that I am not a tech wizard, but that's the point-- you shouldn't have to be to install a modest printer for a home office. I have been down the rabbit hole with this piece of junk and am ready to put it up on the local neighborhood board for somebody to just take it off my hands. HP can get &$!#, I'm never buying something from them again. Giving it one star only because Amazon doesn't offer a no-stars option. ... show more

  • Great Printer, But HP Locks You Into Overpriced Ink Forever
I bought this for my brother, and as a printer it works great. Print quality is sharp, scanning works, wireless setup was painless. No complaints about the actual printing. Here's the problem. During initial setup, HP prompts you to activate "HP+" which they frame as a free upgrade with benefits like an extended warranty and three months of free ink. My brother clicked activate because why wouldn't you, it sounds like a good deal. What HP doesn't make clear is that activating HP+ permanently locks the printer's serial number to only accept genuine HP cartridges. Not for the duration of the program. Forever. For the entire life of the printer. Third-party cartridges, refilled cartridges, anything that isn't genuine HP ink will be rejected outright. The printer just refuses to print. And there is no way to undo it. You can't factory reset out of it, you can't call support and have it removed. Once you click activate during setup, that's it. The printer itself deserves five stars. It prints beautifully, it's fast, the duplex works well. But I can't give full marks to a product with a setup screen designed to trick you into permanently restricting what ink you're allowed to buy. If you get this printer, skip HP+ activation entirely during setup and just buy your own cartridges from day one. ... show more

  • Versatile, small form factor color inkjet printer and scanner for regular usage Versatile, small form factor color inkjet printer and scanner for regular usage
I was looking for a small footprint relatively inexpensive inkjet printer and scanner for regular usage and this Envy 6555 printer scanner model from HP appears perfect for that. Setting it up was easy with the instructions provided through the QR code. The app-based setup was easy but then it failed to get on to the network. I ended up using the touchscreen display on the printer for the wireless connection which, though a bit cumbersome and challenging due to the small screen size did eventually work. The printer then showed up on the app as well and rest of the setup including firmware update and setting up the scanner was very easy. I did also download the drivers from the HP support site for the scanner software and to track the inkjet cartridges remaining life better. The print quality as well as the scanning quality was surprising better than what I had expected given it’s three-in-one color and one basic cartridge. I would not print photos with this but it proved itself more than capable of scanning and printing full color pages fairly quickly and accurately on a regular multipurpose paper. I assume the initial set of cartridges will have a shorter life and will need replacements soon. HP, during the setup, does push the user to subscribe to their inkjet cartridge buying program. That program may work for some. Overall, I am, so far very happy with the printer and its performance and now it is our default printer on our Windows home network. Given its pricepoint I think this is a great buy for those who need an inexpensive printer which still delivers very good printing and scanning performance. ... show more

  • The HP Envy Printer that you can quickly install and is perfect for your daily printing needs!
I love this HP Envy printer! I was looking for a white printer with full functionality to address day to day printing, scanning and copying and this one is perfect! This printer is a nice size and the white color works in any room. I have it on a small table near my internet equipment. It was easy to setup including connection to my WiFi and devices. It is compatible with all my devices, which is great. The print quality is good and the print speed is fine for my day to day personal printing. The noise level is fairly quiet compared to others I have had in the past. The printer came with 3 months of instant ink so I signed up. The cartridges came very quickly. I think the page limit on this subscription will be fine for my needs. Overall this printer and ink trial subscription are a good value. Overall this is a good printer for day to day use. It is easy to setup and the print quality is good. It is a nice white so fits in fine in any room. It can print duplex, scan and copy with simple options. The menu screen is easy to follow. ... show more

  • Great HP product, printer works well. Great HP product, printer works well.
A decent home printer meant to get everyday use. If your printing the standard fare like school assignments, forms, copying stuff, or simple color prints this'll do those just fine. Prints come out crisp and clean with colors that look great for a printer in this class. I would not consider this machine a workhorse office printer but more for a family printer or general printer to have around the house. Touchscreen controls are user friendly and I appreciate having the document feeder and automatic two sided printing as it eliminates quite a bit of work. Wireless setup and phone app are useful once you get everything connected. This is great for printing from your phone or downloading apps frequently. As with most wireless printers the WiFi and app feature can be annoying sometimes but that's normal for them. Instant Ink free trial was a nice bonus but make sure you read the fine print about the subscription so you know what you are getting. Great home printer if you need something that is simple to use, looks nice, can print scan and copy without you feeling like it takes over a room. ... show more
