  • Enhanced Security While Driving
This is a tool that enables you to record what's happening while driving. This camera begins video recording when the vehicle is started and stops recording when the vehicle is turned off. It is powered by a cigarette lighter plug. This device comes with two cameras. One for the front and one for the rear. The front camera sticks to the front windshield and can be adjusted up or down as needed. The cable I received is long enough to reach from behind the rearview mirror to the location of the power port on the dashboard with a little extra cable. I ran the cable behind the sun visor, down the column on the right of the windshield, through the glove box and to the power source in the center console of the Mazda CX-5. The cord is visible if you look for it, but generally unnoticed. Both the front and rear camera are plug-and-play for basic operation. You will need to install an App on your phone to access the camera's videos and settings. I was unable to connect to the camera with Apple CarPlay active, so I deactivated CarPlay and could connect without issue. I live in the southwest United States with intense heat even in the winter and I have not had any problems with the device overheating. The camera is easy to use, and you can get started with it fairly quickly. The App is simple to use, and the default settings will work in most instances. The only real challenge is properly hiding the cables, so they cannot be seen. They provide a tool to push the cable into the liners, but it is not very effective. The only real way is to remove the liners inside your car to hide the cables. You can also purchase cable clips that allow you to clip the cables out of the way. Overall, I would give this device a high rating for its price, ease of use, and performance. ... show more

  • Awesome and useful
The dash cam came well packaged and was fairly easy to set up. I greatly appreciate that it already comes with an sd card which prevents another trip to the store. I wish that the set up came with a few more clips for the cable leading to the back window camera as well as a note perhaps saying that the back window camera could be twisted to rotate. I did feel pretty foolish when I finally figured that out. The app is fairly simple to navigate, though clips from the camera will not populate unless you are in the car with the device on (which generally means the car also on) and then open the app for it to filter in. Maybe there is something I’m missing to make this process easier outside of removing the SD card, but there wasn’t anything in the box or instructions to say otherwise. My only real beef with the camera is that it’s kind of loud when it starts up and changing the volume from the app did not seem to fix that. The view is very clear though (you can read license plates clearly in the footage), good brightness in each shot. Connecting to your phone and downloading into your phone’s photo/video albums is pretty quick. My hope with a device like this is that it makes me feel a bit safer when driving, and after experiencing a collision and having the clips to use as evidence, this dash cam certainly fit the bill. ... show more

  • Great device for peace of mind.
We have had this for a few weeks and just recently got it set up and working because of the weather. My husband installed the ap on his phone since he does 100% of the driving. He said it took him three tries to get it synced with his phone, so be patient and keep trying if you have issues. He did have to move our charging device to a different plug-in because the wire from the front camera was a little too short to reach the empty slot, so keep that in mind when planning. He opted not to install the back camera at this time. I will update if he changes his mind. The unit itself clips to your rear view mirror, but it is small, so the screen isn’t that large. You won’t actually be watching the screen. It is more for adjusting the viewing area so you know you are recording the correct area. The picture is bright and clear, just small. It comes with everything you need to set up the device. An SD card is included. The features such as GPS and speed are recorded right on the screen, which is great if you are in an accident and need to prove you were not speeding. There is a Lock &Save feature so that if you are in an accident the footage is saved and cannot be overwritten so you lose your evidence. This little guy does a lot for the price, and how can you put a price on peace of mind? ... show more

  • Easy to set up and use
Very easy to use and install! One of those things that I didn't realize I wanted or needed until I tried it. Being able to review the cameras is often useful! Had no issues getting it connected -- I followed the included instructions and found it fairly straightforward. Video quality is fair - I've seen better - but definitely useful enough for what I'm using it for. A good value for the money - I'm glad I got it! Someday it might really come in handy! ... show more

  • Don’t waste your money
The media could not be loaded. This thing sucks! I’ve tried to set it up 20 flipping times what a waste of time!!!!! I’ve charged it up all night long. I’ve gone step by step connected WiFi but this stupid app just goes to my settings which I’ve given access to everything still nothing.

  • Functional product
Setup was relatively easy. I installed it and drove around the block to test it. Operating the mobile app that allows you to save photos, videos requires an internet connection.
