We have always struggled to cool the upstairs level of our house, where the bedrooms are. We have adjusted dampers, blocked some vents, and taped over a vent which was taking up a lot of AC. We were on the verge of getting a second unit installed when I decided to give these a try. I started with 3, installing them in the most difficult upstairs areas to cool, and was amazed at the improvement. I have even bought a 4th unit because of how much of a difference they have made. Not only are the problem areas improved but the entire upstairs is cooler. They make such a difference that I can tell if my kids have turned them off in their rooms as soon as I walk upstairs. Why did my kids turn them off, because they were too cold! The fans are also very quiet, I have to sleep with earplugs because every noise startles me and these fans are not noticeable. No other part of the house is warmer because of the unit "robbing flow", it is more like the total airflow is increase throughout the entire system because of their suction at the end of the system. I'm not sure how it would be if they were installed in the middle of the distribution. I cannot recommend these enough. Only 5 stars because Amazon doesn't have a higher rating.

Installation was pretty straightforward, but figuring out the settings is a challenge, such as telling what mode it is in and whether the digital reading is the set temp or current room temp, which never seems to match. It does help draw some extra air into the small room, but not as much as I had hoped for. A side quirk, apparently the remote control is on the same frequency as our security system. This is being used in my office at my business, where the security system camera monitor is located. 9 times out of 10, if I used the fan's remote to raise or lower the temp, with each push of a button, it makes the monitor change which camera is displayed on the screen. I didn't even know my camera system had the option for remote control. Haha.

My husband bought this for our bedroom bc it’s upstairs and the room is always so much warmer than other rooms in the house. I would always turn down the AC temp so low just to be comfortable. We have 2 vents in our room and used these on both, and my room is now so much cooler. I highly recommend this product; however, it sounds like a fan and is not quiet. I don’t mind the noise though, so I’m happy with this product.

Seems like a great product but more airflow would be helpful. It didn't work for my situation. My master bathroom stays hotter than the rest of the house. I was hoping this product would help cool it a bit better. We did a quick test and compared the airflow from both vents before installing. My vent was blowing just as hard. Unfortunately it seems my vent is blowing hard enough, its just in a bad location (vaulted ceiling and funky angles).

I am using this device in the second story room where I work out. This fan definitely keeps the temp lower in that room than just running AC by itself. The thermostat is pretty useless as the sensor is on the surface and reads a temp 20-25 degrees cooler than the room thermostat. I use it in manual mode while working out. That works great. The remote is actually also useful for operating the device if the vent is not easily accessible.
