I purchased this because I love Waffle style blankets here in the heat of Louisiana. They allow you to stay warm on cool nights, but also let the air breathe through them, so you don't overheat on warm nights. I knew already from reading tons of reviews, that this blanket sheds a lot the first couple times you wash it. So I was ok with that, as I experienced it with other fabrics in the past. Here is where we made a costly mistake that I blame on myself, not the manufacturer of the blanket. When my wife put it in the dryer, i told her to empty the lint trap as it sheds a lot. She checked the lint trap and it was only half full, so she chose not to empty it. Our lint trap is bigger than most peoples as we have an extra large, almost commercial size dryer. However, the amount of lint this blanket gave off, completely overfilled the lint trap, to the point where our dryer overheated and something blew inside of it. Now it will only stay on, if you hold down the start button. Soon as you let it go, it stops working. Repair man on the phone said it could be 3 different things, but all of them are caused by it overheating. I have to take it to him but he said it should not be a problem to fix. Just caused me the hassle of getting it out of my laundry room, loaded onto a trailer and driving it across town. Then having to reinstall it, as the space it's in, is very tight, so it's kind of a pain. The repair guy does make house calls, but it's basically an extra 75 bucks, on top of whatever parts and labor he charges to fix it. So if you don't want to have your dryer overheat, please please check and clean out your lint trap BEFORE drying this the first time. In fact, if I were you, I'd check the trap halfway during the drying process and empty it again, just to make 100% sure you don't have a problem. When people in the reviews say that it sheds a lot of lint, they are not joking! I pulled out huge wads of lint that was packed in so tight, I think it impeded the air flow through the dryer vent. I then used a tool to reach down into the bent area and there was more that the lint trap did not catch. Now as to the blanket itself. I actually love it! It's huge for one thing and I mean it is much bigger than my normal king size blankets. So if your sharing this with a loved one, you won't have to fight back and forth to cover both of you up. There is plenty of blanket to go around. Second, it is breathable material that won't let you get too hot in the summer, or if you have a foam mattress, as those tend to be slightly warmer than a normal mattress. I would certainly buy it again, just be extra careful washing and drying it. I know this may sound bad, but if I had to do it all over again, I'd take it to a laundry mat where they have those large commercial washers and dryers and I'd do it there for it's first wash and dry. Hope this saves a few people from dryer problems :)

I ordered the King/Cal King in dark grey. Overall I’m happy with the purchase. I can’t speak for the shrinkage because I put this right in my washing machine. It fits fairly well dropping about 4-5 inches over the side of my king mattress with plenty of length. The blanket did stretch from pulling it up to make the bed. I assume there will be some shrinkage once I wash/dry it, but I’m sure it will stretch back out. The color is nice, but does tend to have a purple/reddish hue, perhaps from the lighting. The weight is good for us. I’m comfortable with this and a fleece blanket with room temp about 67 degrees during the winter. There was a lot in the lint screen as noted by other reviewers, but I was expecting this due to the material/construction. However I was not expecting to find so many dark grey fuzzies on my sheets. Wishing I would have purchased the same color as my sheets for this reason. Overall I’m pleased and would purchase the blanket again.

I ordered this Dusty Pink cotton blanket in August 2022 because I live in "It's A Dry Heat" Phoenix and I like cotton blankets because they keep me comfortable in the hot summer and warm in our mild winter temps. I washed the blanket before I put it on my bed and I was amazed at the total amount of lint that I pulled out of the lint trap. It was bulging to overflowing the good sized trap. Now 5 months later, I have washed the blanket 3 times and I am still amazed how much lint this Queen/Full sized blanket puts out every time it is washed and dried in my Whirlpool Washer/Dryer. What I cannot understand is how is it that I pull a whole, intact blanket out of the dryer and yet leave behind so much lint. How is this even possible? I figure at some point I am going to start pulling bits and pieces of the blanket out of the lint trap, 5 months in and it hasn't happened yet. Wait for it 2/20/2023 Well it happened: I washed the blanket this weekend and I found that the weave has started to fray and I now have a hole in it. Yep, bits and pieces of the blanket are now being left somewhere inside my Whirlpool Dryer.

This cotton blanket is a quality weave and is what I expected from the description and reviews. The size I got is a queen and is right on. The recommendation to wash the blanket upon receiving is necessary. The fluff is washed out and when dryer time is completed more of what would be messy fluff is removed. The blanket arrived well packaged, and delivery was quick. The added warmth is just what I was looking for during these winter months. I am satisfied with these blankets.

This blanket is heavier than expected and seems to be decent quality. I washed it and dried it upon arrival. It held up well. It does shed when being dried but not more than to be expected. I cleaned my lint trap three times within the 40 minute dry cycle. Very happy with it.

I live and work in Florida and I sweat more than an average person. That’s why all of my working clothes are 100% cotton and almost all of my everyday clothes are either 100% cotton or very close to that. Even after they have been washed dozens of times, and some of those hundred and more times, the dryer filter is still full of lint every time. That’s how the cotton is and there’s nothing wrong with that. People who are surprised by lint must have been walking around wrapped in plastic their whole lives. These blankets are great. They do not lint any more nor any less then cotton is supposed to.

Somehow I missed the picture showing how the blanket fits the bed. Since we only use it when the temps drop it's not a big deal. My preference would be one that would tuck in on the sides also. If you don't mind only tucking in the bottom then this is a good light weight blanket. Also don't let the amount of lint bother you, it is cotton afterall.
