  • WALL CLOCK: The Sandringham Wall Clock features an Oak Yorkshire finish on select hardwoods and veneers to compliment your home decor. Included in the design is a flared molded bonnet and fully molded base with a spun brass-finished pendulum bob.
  • DURABLE: This clock has a sturdy frame to relieve stress in a busy household. Display it in your kitchen, office, bedroom, or living room, as a great timepiece with a front glass door, Arabic numerals and floral-patterned corner accents to stand out over an off-white dial.
  • CHIMES: Easily tell time with key-wound, single-chime movement that plays the Westminster chime to strike each hour. An industry exclusive dual-ratchet winding arbor ensures safe movement winding. Use the chime silence option to reduce sound in the house.
  • DIMENSIONS: The height of this clock is 24 inches (61 cm), with a width of 14.75 inches (37 cm) and a depth of 7.25 inches (18 cm). It is powered by key-wound, single-chime movement. Made in the USA.

  • Great!
I love it!

  • Beautiful and very accurate timepiece.
The media could not be loaded. We have an older Howard Miller Sandringham wall clock (low serial number) and after a little simple adjustment to the pendulum height (screw) upon purchase, this old “clockwork” wind-up clock keeps time as well as our previous battery powered quartz wall clock. Truly amazing! You can’t really hear the clock ticking with the front glass door closed (more’s the pity) and the Westminster chimes are fairly quiet (like a mantle clock). You’ll hear them in a quiet room, but won’t notice them with the TV on; they can be silenced (on/off) if desired. The chiming on this clock is made by little hammers striking chime rods, not some ghastly digital recording like quartz clocks have. In fact, I disabled our old (quartz) wall clock’s digital chimes because they were so loud and objectionable through the tiny speaker. Beautiful, heavy wooden case, made in America. Keeps (very accurate) time and chimes for a full 7 days between windings (8 day German movement). Requires minimal maintenance too (oil every 2 years and get professionally cleaned every 5-7). If properly maintained, these beautiful clocks *will* last a lifetime and beyond, and have so much more character than battery powered quartz clocks. Most I’ve seen have a lighter colored case and more off-white face than the one shown in the picture. Expensive, yes, but most definitely heirloom quality. I mean, who would want to inherit a battery powered quartz clock over this magnificent timepiece? ... show more

  • Piece of Junk,
Biggest piece of junk i ever had. Not worth 100 bucks and they want 800 bucks for this crap. I had this clock for one year. The chimes stopped working in it. They take separate batteries, C cells. i replaced tham and they still do not work. 6 months later the entire clock stops working altogether. I know another person at my Job who has this exact same clock and he declared it the same way. it all just quits working. the interior clock itself is nothing great. Just plastic inners like any other cheap clock you might buy. How they value this thing at 800 bucks is beyond me. Its all junk. ... show more

  • OK clock, but buy with knowledge
The case is good, the mechanism is OK. Here is my problem. I have several chiming wall clocks. This one I expected to have a similar deep resonate chime to it. It is muddy sounding and not very loud. As someone who likes chiming wall clocks, I find this diminish voice in this clock to be annoying. The problem is in the design. Most wall clocks have long cylinder chime rods, mounted vertically. This mechanism has its thinner and shorter chime rods mounted horizontally. If this softer sound is what you want, it is an OK clock, but don't expect the resonance or clarity of pitch to be found in this clock that is heard in others. ... show more

  • Excellent Clock
I've had one since 1995, and it's worked flawlessly every day. It's in the shop now for cleaning. Apparently this should be done every ten years or so.

  • Quality clock that we old folks can pass down to our kids or grandchildren.
Wonderful time piece! Noted the review about using batteries. This clock does not take batteries. All parts are heavy gauge steel. We have had ours over 10 years with no problems. Keeps excellent time. Encased in solid oak. Chimes provide a soothing sound on the quarter hour and delightful chimes on the hour. We never tire of it! ... show more

  • Beautiful Clock
I didn't buy my Howard Miller Sandringham clock from Amazon. I bought it at a local furniture store more than 25 years ago. It's always hung on the same place in my home. It has yet to need a repair. Still chimes beautifully. I do have to wind it about once a week (but have never needed to replace a battery. I think there is a confused reviewer somewhere on this page.) it also makes a handy place to put things. ... show more
