The Hover-1 Rebel Electric Hoverboard is a great 1st hoverboard for young kids. It is loaded with safety features and is self balancing. It is colorful and has cool flashing lights on the wheels. It has big stable 6.5 wheels. It takes about 6 hours to fully charge it. Once charged, it has a max speed of 6 MPH and will travel for about 3 miles. This hoverboard was designed for younger kids so the weight limit is 130 lbs. The self balancing feature makes it easy for first time riders to use. Because it's self balancing, kids can immediately feel secure and quickly get the hang of riding. This board is not to used on steep inclines or on rough terrain. There is a green light in the center of the board and when the board senses too much of a tilt, uneven terrain or the battery power is too low...the green light will turn red and the board will beep to warn the rider. If the rider does not stop or adjust, the board will stop. I really like these safety features and the self balancing feature. My grandson learned to ride this board fairly quickly. He is not a daredevil and he is very cautious. He paid attention to the warning beeps and I felt he was safe while riding and I didn't worry too much about him getting hurt. This is a wonderful hoverboard for beginners and so much fun to ride. Your kids will love it.

So to start with while we did try it out as a hover board, we got this strictly to take apart for the wheels to be used on a ride on car my husband is making our daughter. As a hoverboard it worked great for our boys. Decent charge time and by time it ran out of juice they were bored with it anyways. Now on to something we didn't like after taking it apart. Anyone who knows about electronics like this knows that plastic wear out quickly on anything that takes weight. This had plastic barrings in it instead of metal ones like other similar electronics toys we have taken apart over years. first time we have seen plastic bearings in anything that is meant to take over 5lbs of weight. (This is supposed to be rated for 130lbs so let that sink in for a second)

First, my daughter loves the colors, the blue, purple swirl is really cute. If you are not a helmet/safety pads person, I suggest you use them at least in the beginning. It has a bit of a learning curve. We have pretty sturdy hard wood floors so we practiced indoors, using the walls to keep her upright. She quickly got the hang of it and she started using the sidewalks. Also took some practice to get used to the cracks and lines between the pieces. The bumps are something you have to get used to. It charges quickly and there is an indicator light, which is nice since these sort of batteries go bad quickly when you keep them charging too long. I have a few of these. My other two boys each have one and I have found this to be a great company to work with and the boys’ hoverboards have been great.

The kids loved it. It's safe enough for beginners, provided they wear shoes and wear a safety helmet until they get the hang of it. When charged for 5 hours the battery lasts for 4 hours. When it's charged for 30 minutes, it only lasts for 15-20 minutes.

Came ready to use out of the package. We practiced on the carpet before heading outside. Super easy to use and very safe. Once outside, the green light in the center of the board would turn to red and beep to warn my little guy. It stopped on him as he was going down a hill. But lesson learned to get off when the light/beep starts. The battery did only last about an hour or so after charged 100%.The current charger says it requires 6.5 hours to have fully charged the unit, kind of disappointed with this. So I'm getting a different charger that'll take about an hour or so. DO NOT charge the unit for more than the recommended length because possibility of another safety hazard/overheating/fire.
