Sturdy and SO easy to set up
I cannot say enough great things about the ease of setting up this bed. I am a single mom and did it all by myself. If I can do it, anyone can! lol They have each connection point labeled with numbers. All you do is match up the numbers. It’s so simple and everything is labeled perfectly. I have set up other beds that were a nightmare and took literal days because the parts were mislabeled of not labeled at all and it took hours just to find the right pieces! The way they have these directions is so clear and I really appreciate that. I had it set up within 2 hours. It would have been even faster if I hadn’t missed a piece inside the box and spent 10 minutes looking for it, but that was my fault entirely. My daughter loves her new bed. Little brother sleeps on the trundle bed. We have limited space so this was a good solution. The only thing is you can’t get a thick mattress for that bottom bed or it won’t fit to slide under the top one. For us, it interest big of a deal because little brother is used to a firmer mattress rather than a thick soft one. He will do just fine with this. A couple other notes: It arrived at my doorstep early. It was very neatly and well packaged. No damage at all. Nothing missing. Everything labeled well. It seems very sturdy which is wonderful for the price point. Sturdy materials at a good price. Best thing is it's crazy easy to build!! LADIES FEAR NOT!! Comes with a simple tool and numbered/picture instructions. Had it built in 30 minutes!! The base bars have a sticky layer to keep the mattress from sliding (on the bed AND trundle) which is a really nice touch. The metal is super sturdy, and the trundle is completely detached which makes moving it out of the way super convenient - AND you can use the extra trundle anywhere in the house in 2 seconds!! I bought and super suggest grabbing - a Linenspa hybrid spring mattress with this! Less than $200 for a 10" and it's the most comfortable bed in the house LOL! We're using the trundle for my daughter's overnight friends and family so we just throw an air mattress on it when they stay, and use it for under the bed storage when they aren't around. Great space saver, absolutely adorable in a dollhouse -way and really sturdy. Compare this to the price of just a bed frame and you'll see why I'm so in love with this bed. I wish they had more boyish colors like green, red, or blue so I could do the boys' room! ... show more

Simple and perfect

Perfect frame for my 2.5 year old. Her new sister will be needing the crib now and was time to move her to a new bed to grow with her. I wanted a trundle bed so when we have guest and friends I can stop blowing up the blow up mattress. I will most likely be ordering this frame again for her sister as well when it’s time to move out the crib/toddler bed! The directions were extremely easy to follow, and everything was labeled. Even came with a little ratchet which I thought was awesome. And some of the bars even have little stickies on it to keep mattress from moving. Only took me about an hour or hour and half to assemble. I laid down on it, even stood on it and it and I think it’s extremely sturdy. Ended up buying two 7” mattress for it. Seems to be the perfect size mattress to me for the bed. 7” is as large as I would go for the trundle. I had no intentions of adding a comforter to the trundle while it’s not in use and tucked under the frame so 7”is perfect. It easily slides in and out with mattress protector and sheet on it, no issues. I’m very please with this, simple and exactly what I was in search for. ... show more

Awesome bed frame, but things to know
This could easily be a 5 star for most people. I gave it a 4 star mostly to make people aware of some little details. Easy as 1, 2, 3. They say that because every connection is numbered. Two issues. You will need a helper with fingernails to get them off. Also it leaves a clear adhesive that probably needs goo gone to remove. Mattress height. This was a surprise to me. The gap for the trundle is exactly 8". Well, most mattresses are 8" or larger. Even a 8" will not work, after bedding is applied. So, I ended up ordering 3" bed risers, 2" might have worked, bit it looked too close. The weight. It is a VERY sturdy bed frame. As such, it weighs a lot. It is packaged well, but the delivery company will trash the box. Mine has smashed ends, cuts, etc. I took pictures just in case, but mine was fine. Just be careful. I had to empty the box and transport the pieces a few at a time. Assembly. The numbering system works well. The only hitch is you may need to loosen a few to fit a piece. They also provide a nice ratchet, but i used a power drill with the torque limit set low. Overall, this will be a 5 start product for most people, but head the warnings in case that item matters to you specifically, like the trundle mattress gap. ... show more

Love it
Got this bed because honestly it was the only trundle style bed I could afford at the time that my daughter (toddler) and myself liked the design I was hoping it wasn't a waste of money because the box looked rather small when it arrived but once I got started putting it together I was very surprised! It went together perfectly I didn't have to fight to line anything up and it went together fairly quickly considering I did it on my own. The instructions are clear and it is so cute! It feels sturdy as well obviously the true test is how long it stays that way but for now I'm loving it. I do recommend this product and will be looking into more furniture made by this brand in the future! Great buy! ... show more

easy to assemble
This day bed is more than I expected. It is easy to assemble with detailed clear instructions. this comes with a nice little ratchet tool for tightening the bolts that makes it easy for old hands to work with. I had ordered another item from this manufacturer and had been pleased with the quality, so I felt comfortable ordering this. When looking for anything again if ZINUS shows up again I will definitely consider. Item is sturdy and had a higher weight rating than others I looked at. Lower bed is easily moveable and the wheels lock when you have in place. Just love it. Had to replace first order because it came badly damaged, but the customer service got us a replacement quickly and in good condition. They also helped with a return pickup and notified me when they received the return. ... show more

Great frame-low cost-reasonably easy assembly

Took two hours start to finish with one person doing assembly while other person read directions. First, the strange tool that comes with it is a ratcheted allen wrench. So the simple one they include is ok but use this handy one cause it makes the assembly easier. They supply all tools except you need shears to cut thick plastic ties. Now the directions are straightforward except for one anomaly-when a step has you Say assembling the right Railings you will Most likely then assemble the left since that is exactly the same. No that side could be maybe found in step 7. They go around the bed with assembly not each side etc. Once you figure out that you have already done a step Before they tell you...all clears up. unfortunately, They do not label the parts on the parts themselves but do place stickers naming the Steps. So label 3 should line up with a sticker 3 on another part. My grandson, who is 18, did it with my reading directions. A very nice bed the “slats” go in a little tight so i suggest a wooden or soft mallet to tape in place. The most difficult assembly area was the large bar that fits across the bottom of the longest part-the back. It seems to be too long so you might have to loosen surrounding bolts to get it to fit.
