  • Nest e will not work with this but works great with Sensi
Number of Items: 1
We have a Nest e (2020) thermostat and a Sensi (by Emerson) smart thermostat. Bought this adapter mainly for the Nest one. Unfortunately, the Nest e doesn't have separate Rh and Rc connectors but only a single R connector. Our home heating is heat-only with a R and a W wire. I followed many online suggestions of connecting the R and W from the heating system to the R and W on the Nest and then the two wires from the adapter to the R and C. Bad idea! First of all, the Nest didn't like it and kept setting the error code N261, the internal battery voltage went too low and some of the enhanced functions like wake-on-approach didn't work anymore. Further learning on how the heating system works clearly showed why connecting the R to the adapter was a bad idea and you really need to isolate the two power circuits through a relay! I decided to then consider the Sensi... which has separate Rh and Rc... with a jumper wire that is exposed for cutting as appropriate! After that it was a piece of cake... adapter powered the thermostat through Rc and C while the furnace was connected to the Rh and W (Rh and Rc jumper was cut). System has been working great for a week now. Sensi actually has a better integration with Alexa! Though the above seems like a review comparing Nest and Sensi, the point is that this adapter works perfectly but likely not suitable for the Nest e (2020) thermostat. Works great with Sensi. ... show more

  • Works really well with ECOBEE4
Number of Items: 1
The Ecobee4 with this AC adapter is a great replacement to those run of the mill stock thermostats with batteries that came with the house. For a while, I've been dealing with an unbalanced temperature distribution on the second floor of our house because the original thermostat sensor was not reading an accurate temperature of the master bedroom, making it too cold at 73F while the 2nd-floor hallway was at 80F (Thermostat set at 80F). The Ecobee4 solved it for me. A Saviour. This device intelligently distributes the temperature without making any of the rooms under-heated or over-heated. I can even tell Alexa bedside to set it on a temp I prefer on the fly, without getting up and walking to the wall module. C-wire problems? Don't have them? No problem. If you have easy access to your HVAC system you can use the already-supplied PEK module. Mine however, was up in a really damp, dusty and compacted attic, so (take note on the picture) I improvised by using an AC adapter. A fair warning though, if you don't know what you're doing, consult with someone who does, as Ecobee doesn't supply any instructions on how to get by without a C-wire AND you don't have (easy) access to an HVAC and use an AC adapter. I actually prefer the AC adapter method. This AC adapter is not provided by ecobee4, but you can purchase it here on Amazon, too. For quick tips, the AC adapter has two wire nodes. My Thermostat system has 4 wires (R, W, Y, & G). On the ecobee plate, put one end of the adapter wire on the "C" slot, and assigned the other end to the "Rc" slot. The R wire will then go to the "Rh" slot, and the rest goes to their respective slots: Y to Y1, W to W1, G to G. However, like I said, it really depends on the wire setup of your system, and if you really can't figure it out, consult someone who knows it professionally. I'm not going to ask you to take my word for it as I'm not an HVAC specialist. ... show more

  • Power supply for a Ring 2 doorbell.
Number of Items: 1
The power cable was long enough for me to run it along a wall and through a drilled hole in the wall to a 110 outlet. That eliminated the need to replace the rechargeable batteries every month. The only negative was that the one I received came with white fasteners instead of black, as pictured.

  • Perfect for Honeywell Wi-Fi Thermostat That Was Constantly Rebooting
Number of Items: 1
So my nice touchscreen Honeywell Wi-Fi Thermostat started rebooting every time the Furnace kicked on to heat the house. Originally I hooked it up to the C Wire Terminal on the Furnace Circuit Board and it worked for about 6 months with an occasional weird reboot here and there. Suddenly, every time the heat kicked on, the thermostat rebooted. Not getting any heat with that! The Furnace's 24V power supply must have been experiencing too much of a voltage drop when the heat kicked on causing the thermostat to reboot and the heating cycle never started? Got this inexpensive 24V Transformer from Amazon and disconnected the thermostat from the existing Furnace C Wire Terminal on the circuit board. Luckily had a spare pair of existing wires in the wall running upstairs to the thermostat location. Connected the Transformer wires to the existing spare pair of wires in the wall, plugged the transformer in down in the basement next to the furnace and the heat is back on! Works Great, at an Excellent Price! Highly recommend this transformer to anyone needing to power up these cool new wi-fi thermostats! It's simple and functions perfectly. Remember that with all electrical projects, do your homework first and always know what you are plugging into where before turning the power back on. ... show more

  • Easy install
Number of Items: 1
Installing it for me was super easy. My pantry is on the other side of the thermostat, and there is an electric outlet inside the pantry I never use. I had to punch a small hole in the bottom wall of the pantry and ran the wire along the bottom of the drywall, you can't even see the wire. Re-install the baseboard when ever I get around to it (lol). You can see in the picture you can barely tell it's even there. I installed a Sensi Touch ST75 ... show more
