I've had it for several weeks now and used it multiple times. I had water, but no electricity. PLENTY of hot water (numerous showers) from a propane tank. The only downfall is the cheap-o showerhead. Luckily, others can be threaded on and still used.

I like my purchase, I bought for my camping when Camper's 5 gallon water tank always runs out hot water. It is very nice peace, just I feel like I'm spending more money for extra attachment didn't come with. I'm having hard time finding the quick connect attachment so I can use easy connect on and off. Also the unit didn't attached with no handle. I have to make up some hook for temporary use. Other brand come with everything with same price. I had to buy water hose also. Kind a incomplete package deal. I already use it and can't return it. I just needed spend more money and deal with it until buy another one. It work well and water flow is super good. I choose this unit because small design for easy to carry . That's about it. Good product but I should bought one has complete package. ... show more

Works extemely well, very simple to install!! Small and compact but packs a big punch. It says not recommended to be tied in the grid but i disagree. It can!!! Ive done it and to be safe installed water cut off valves and hose splitter that was already on my old water heater. That allows you to use cold and hot like normal and can shut water off from unit inside in case of emergency. Instead of pulling out the old water heater, i kept it there so i could mount the on demand directly over it since it was already a heat shield making it safe to permanently mount. Everything can be taken off within 5 minutes if need be. I recommend doing the same saving you time and energy making something to mount as well as removing the water heater tank cutting paneling and recaulking. Its not worth it just to get a small box size amount of room freed up under the sink. I also made a makeshift rain gaurd. Runs off 2 D size batteries, no wiring involved. Endless hot water in the whole home, kitchen sink, bathroom sink, bath/shower. This unit is on par with thousand dollar systems for almost nothing. If you are on a budget its what you need do not waste your time with a bulky expensive leaky tank ever again!! Save save save it can be done!! ... show more

I do not submit reviews for my purchases on Amazon due to the sheer volume I buy. But for this portable hot water heater I will make an exception. First.... This charm was designed and production managed in Charelston S.C.. Even though it is assembled in China. Second.....The quaity is evident as you remove it from the packaging. Feels and looks sturdy and of good craftmanship. Third..... The portable hot water heater comes with just about any fitting that one may need to hook it up to various water supply fittings. With this said, the water heater fired right up when the water supply is opened up. Fourth.... this unit will work even at a very low water pressure, almost down to gravity water coming from a 25 foot rise, I have not tried this yet, but the claim in the provided manual indicates a working range down to about 20psi. Fifth.... 1/3 smaller and lighter than other typical portable propane heaters. I have purchased other propane portable hot water heaters in the past and this surpasses them all in all categories. If you need it, then it is a must buy. ... show more

Easy to use. Plenty of hot water to bathe my horses outside. Only negative is the shower hose is short. We attached the propane tank and the unit to a hand truck for mobility. Works great!

Over several years I've had three of these propane showers...all three were different brands. Typically I only get a couple years use out of them before something internal breaks and they start leaking water. This brand interested me because of the copper heat exchanger...I'm hoping that it turns out to be more durable than previous brands (though I'm skeptical of it's build quality...more on that at the end). Problem is...it's got very low heat compared to others I've had. I have not not done an exact temperature measurement...but I can tell you that at it's highest gas setting and with the flow rate set as low as it will go (which is how you get the water as warm as possible)...it's just "kind of" warm. Nowhere near anything that I'd call hot. Something else I don't really like with this model...it has no on/off switch. Every one of these showers I've owned has had a flow sensor that turns the gas on when it detects water flow. But this is the first one that has no way (short of removing the batteries) of cutting power to the whole device when you are not going to be using it. This is almost a safety issue as I don't want a malfunction in the flow sensor to start the gas flowing when it's unattended. And lastly...whoever assembled this thing was bad at their job. The outer casing looks like it got bent prior to assembly and somebody just kind of forced it into shape and mostly screwed it together. Due to the metal being bent, they clearly struggled to get it put together correctly as the screws are a little chewed up and there are scrapes in the paint around the screw holes. This is not damage that occurred in shipping as you can clearly tell that it was put together this way. Also, several of the copper fins in the top are bent...I don't think this is bad enough damage to impact it's use...but the fact that it was sent out in this condition points to poor workmanship. ... show more
