My boyfriend was able to easily do this. Didn’t even need an electrician. It was perfect even on our brick wall. Easy to control and keeps the house warm. We don’t have a cooling system so not sure about the cooling but I’m sure it works amazing like the heat. We checked Home Depot and even google itself and this bundle deal is worth every penny. I love the Nest Thermostat. It is very easy to operate and can ce controlled from anywhere. Every once in a while there is a glitch but turning it off and then turning it back on corrects that. At the very beginning I did have to reinstall the app and once that was done it worked well. I plan to buy another one sometime sometimes soon. ... show more

Best is fantastic. I love it. I bought this particular kit for the wireless outlets, those don't work at all. Can't stay connected to my wifi even when plugged in there same outlet as the router. But the nest, don't let the outlets sway your decision.

Love our nest, had new HVAC unit installed, used this thermostat with it and it helps me keep control of my unit from anywhere. It also keeps track of how long my unit runs from day to day, easy set up. Ti keeps track of when the filter needs replacement along with monitoring the health of my unit.

I ordered this and it didn’t work!!! my hvac guy said they are all junk to get my money back……I returned it and they charged me a $71 restocking fee!! They are selling junk and scamming people!

I haven't connected it to Alexa at this point but I enjoy the ability to control the thermostat through the Nest app. The installation instructions and video made the installation process easy. I liked that the device came with all the tools necessary (including the specialized screwdriver to attach the cables to the device and the sticker labels for each of the wires going into the thermostat). ... show more

I installed it myself in about an hour or hour and a half. If you have previous experience with thermostats or HVAC, I'm sure you could you it faster. I just double and triple checked everything I did because I don't have the experience. I LOVE the convenience of this smart thermostat, but I can't testify on the money savings aspect yet.
