It was fairly easy to assemble, but be aware it uses 4 D batteries, I know some boosters only require 2. Best bet is to get a rechargeable Lithium D battery set for about 20 bucks. Thats what Im using and the charge lasts pretty long considering. Not all cars work great on this track, there are a lot of turns and they need to keep speed up to make the little jumps as well, but most of the hotwheels cars do just fine. Ones with longer bodies dont do the turns as well. The chaos of running multiple cars on this track is great. The cars jumping across the little gaps and possibly crashing into the cars being launched up is my sons favorite part. It is taller than it is wide which makes it easier to keep assembled and off in a corner rather than having to take it apart all the time. If space is a concern, this set is better than the wider tracks. Overall 5 stars for this. One of the best working and designed tracks Ive bought. Only thing to compain about is that cars dont really enter it well on the entry ramp, there is a weird bump there instead of a smooth transition, so if you like to hook up multiple sets, this one is not ideal. ... show more

They toy itself is great and lots of fun. It came with one car which destroys any time the toy is described as a crashable set. The set should 100% come with more than one car to fit the toy that was described. I purchased, separately, a set of 10 cars--probably a little heavy for the set, but 7/10 cars work well enough most of the time. I also think this set should come with an ac adaptor, it works okay on the D batteries but most batteries are inefficient. And now... The thing I actually HATE about this toy. The snaps used to put it together just aren't take apart friendly. I think the odds of snapping this thing together and apart more than 2 or 3 times without breaking it... Is probably near zero. If the toy included a tool that stores somewhere on the set that pressed the clips out easily for takedown and storage of the toy. A tool that could probably cost the company 15 cents or less would have bumped this review up a ton. But don't give some other family this toy just for it to break (or take a ton of space). If more than 1 car was included, AND a tool for takedown... It would be a way better toy. The AC adaptor would be okay too. Fix it Mattel... Especially for the cost around November 2022... I want the company to make money but this is near shameful. ... show more

My grandson of 3 yrs loves it…..it’s played until the battery goes dead, have to play out the parts like it shows, or it will take you longer than you would like. I would definitely recommend this , it’s awesome

Got this for my 5 yr old grandson. He had a great time with it. It works as advertised. It got a little boring after a few days though, otherwise I would have given 5 stars.
