The media could not be loaded. Review Update: We were contacted by the seller pretty quickly after posting our 1 start review. We requested to have the handle portion of the door refunded back to our account as we already had to buy a replacement in a crunch & didn’t need a whole other handle. The company agreed to our request. They deducted the full $50 coupon that was offered & applied at the time of purchase from our refund which I do find frustrating given the situation we were put in….. I think rather than taking away the whole $50 coupon, $25 would have been more fair to both parties customer the situation we the customer were put in. They also stated if we had any issues with the door lock in the future to let them know. The instructions for set up are not the easiest to follow but once you get it up and going, it has worked very well for us. I am updating from a 1 star to a 4 mainly because they were quick to respond and tried to offer a solution and because the portion of the purchase we were able to successfully install is working well for us right now. Thank you We are having a new door installed. When they went to put the handle in, not only are the screws too short but the holes do not align properly and we cannot even use the door handle. The holes are at least 1/8 off on both sides of the mechanism making it impossible to align and attach. This is incredibly frustrating as we had to wait for the door to come in and be painted and now are beyond the deadline for return. I had to rush out and purchase something else to put in until this issue is resolved which was not financially expected nor should it have been an issue. I hope they make things right…. I will review the other part as soon as they are done installing the new handle I had to run out and buy in a rush…..

Listen save yourself the headache, I bought this at the end of March of 2024. I swear to you this thing has worked two hours out of two days and today being one of them. Today, I finally took another day out of my time to attempt to fix it and it worked for maybe an hour. I went to sleep and woke up and it wasn't working again. The Bluetooth does not work. The finger print doesn't work. The app is joke and is no help!

Great product for the price, very well made. After I had trouble with the initial setup, I spoke with Tara Zeng from the technical department and she walked me through and corrected any issue I had. All issues or concern that I may have had with this smart lock was put to rest after 10 minutes of speaking with Tara. Thank you for all you help. Again great product to purchase.

I am taking off two stars only because the instructions are written poorly, and the card they enclose to help set up the Wifi or sync to a smart device is written so small you cannot read it. And even when you decipher and overcome the language barrier, you find out that the "Smart App" is garbage. I could not get it to sync with Alexa. The app is obviously from you-know-where, so they are not inclined to help much in figuring things out. Anything with the "Smart Home" app is terribly and poorly done. I will get over the fact of not being able to sync it with Alexa or Google because the product in and of itself was surprisingly sturdy and robust, and the biometrics portion works, as well as implementing the codes on the door lock. I recommend it only if you do not care about syncing to Alexa or Google.

I have found out the Hub needs to be within a few feet of the lock. I moved the Hub right next to my Wi-Fi router, about 20 feet away from the lock, and I can not access the lock. I moved the Hub into my bedroom, about 30 feet away from the lock and I can not access the lock. I moved the Hub back to within 10 feet of the lock and it works, I can access the lock. This is not acceptable. I can not return the lock, since I purchased it in March and did not get it installed until yesterday. I will try to call customer support and see what they say, but of course the last person I talked to at Hornbill could barely speak English.
