I am using these hooks to hang a string of lights on our outside patio area. The adhesive seems to be strong and should hold well. I like the clear plastic as they are not overly noticeable. Flat clean dry surfaces will work best. If you have an uneven or overly textured area, you may want something that is attached by another method than adhesives. If your surface is clean and flat you should be good to go!

I know that these are meant for lights but I found that they work to hold up wreaths too. They are clear so you don't see them and they have incredible hold power. I put one of my door weeks ago to hold a somewhat heavy wreath and it's still in place. The amount you get is an incredible value!

I decided to test these outside to help hold up a huge Halloween spider I had gotten and, I must say I was not expecting the string from the spider to snap off before this cling. Even in the rain it still held up. Obviously my biggest question is how well it will remove, because it's not like major brands that allow you to remove without removing a chunk of dry wall or paint. So on one hand, these are great if you really want something to stay put! But on the other hand if you are worried about other things, maybe not?

These clips are perfect. The plastic material is strong and the clip part is flexible enough for a thick cord without breaking. It would easily hold a thick rope light. I am just using these to mount a regular string light so these might be a bit oversized for me but it’s working well. The adhesive pad on the back is a good size and quite strong. I can tug pretty firmly on a clip and it does not come off. These would need to be pried off if needing to remove them. I have not tested this yet. I am using these on a wide smooth painted metal outdoor railing. I cleaned the surface with a wet wipe and let it dry first. The nice thing about the clear clips is that they are not as visible and when attaching them you can see the adhesive sticking as the air pockets get squished out. It takes about 20 seconds or so of pressure per clip. They are pretty straight forward to install, just peel and stick. The instructions say to wait 24 hours after attaching them before using but I hung my lights right away and it was just fine. These have held up well outside in a variety of weather so far including a few hot days and some rain. It will take some time to see how durable they are long term but im confident they will last. I wanted these clips mostly to use with indoor and outdoor decorations (Halloween and Christmas). I hung a cute little sign on our front door and a string of pumpkin lights above the front door. These clips are awesome. They stick so fast and they feel incredibly sturdy. They hold the lights with ease and I think I will be able to leave them up year-round and reuse them for Christmas and any other decorating I want to do. The lights are totally secure and didn’t come dislodged at all when we had a super windy day recently. I am so happy with these clips.
