This has replaced my old 12 volt lamp where the bulb runs extra super hot. No more will I have to replace the darn bulb out. The old one only had two settings, on and double on. This new one has four different color settings. A timer to shut itself off, dimmer control and a fluff filler setting called 'work mode'. Work mode is just one of the four color settings so it is kind of redundant. I do like the head lamps ability to be adjustable and it stays put. It can position vertical and the lamp portion twists on its axis which is handy. The one thing I don't like is the timer indicator. You can't really see it is set to on if you are sat by your desk. You can only see the white led on when looking down upon the base of the light. Seems to be a robust and well built lamp so far. Honeywell Sunturalux™ LED Desk Lamp Dimmable Desk Light I'm using this lamp on a small crafting desk. I replaced an older, single-bulb, desk lamp and there's quite a difference. This lamp has plenty of brightness, and is adjustable with a touch slider. Controls: the controls are a little touchy, no pun intended. Yes, they are touch controls, but even sliding a piece of paper over the base will trigger the controls. There is a button for "work mode" which just selects one of the 4 possible color temperatures. Of the 4 color temps, 1 is fairly red, and the other 3 are all more similarly white. The pictures show the lamp angled toward the user. However since the top part can rotate, I think the lamp works better placed sideways. Like this, it doesn't extend towards me, and I can rotate the light bar to direct the illumination. The USB charging ports are a nice touch. It folds down nicely for storage. ... show more

The positives: I love that I have the option to use more natural light, since I always find cool-light LEDs painful for reading. I also love that I can adjust the brightness of the light as well as the position of the lamp itself. The price is very fair for what you receive, which is nice for those of us on a tight budget. The negatives: The lamp and the bulb do give off some heat, which might be uncomfortable in close proximity. The adjustable arm seems a bit fragile, and you need to use both arms to operate that feature. Verdict: Still a nice lamp that offers many adjustable options for individual comfort. ... show more

I wish I could give this ten stars, it is the PERFECT desk lamp. There are four light options (think daylight, room light, that type of thing) and then you can dim each of those options to your perfect specification with the touch slider. I love that the light part can be angled or turned to whichever direction you like. My desk is next to the couch, so when I'm working, I turn it towards the desk, when I'm reading I can turn it towards the couch, and I don't need to move the whole lamp. There is also a timer, which I haven't needed to use yet, I could see it being convenient if you have this in your room and fall asleep reading or something. Small and compact but light can get very bright! Multiple shades (4) from bright white to yellow, dimmable as well. Arm can be moved for best angle from straight line to 90 degree to completely bent. Base has 2 charging ports as well-convenient for phone charger! The actual light also swivels for accurate lighting needs! Nice bonus feature -timer! In case you tend to fall asleep with light on! This desk lamp is very well made and you can adjust it to aim in many different configurations. It is easy to turn on and adjust the color temperature and brightness and doesn't produce much noticable heat. It has a slim profile, and adjusts to different positions, making it very versatile. It has different choices for light color, and a dimmer bar to adjust brightness. This Honeywell desk lamp has nice features. Two USB ports for charging type A and C are located on right side of base. Base has touch controls for brightness levels , color temperatures, reading light, and 30 minute timer. Timer on has a blue led when activated. Mostly plastic is my only concern on portability durability. Power supply is 12V 2.0A. It’s oval shaped and has normal barrel plug male which connects to the port on back of base.
