This space heater is proof that not all 1500 W heaters are the same, I bought a heater a week or so ago and was disappointed for several reasons. First, it was a lot shorter than I expected. I didn't like the controls that sometimes didn't respond right away and, most importantly, it didn't put out the heat right away. For a few dollars more, I got this heater and it is amazing. While just a few inches taller, it put out heat the moment I turned it on. I had it on the low setting and the heat was more than I expected. Also, I like the way the controls are set up. So somple. No wonder Honeywell heaters get such high scores. The ads for this heater state that it is a whole room heater and that is something that I look forward to this winter. ... show more

Have been using this heater for one week and it’s great. Strong efficient heat and good airflow. The thermostat is initially 2-4 degrees off, and it’s effected by the heat that the unit puts out, so as soon as the unit goes on, the thermostat goes up 4-6 degrees. This just means you have to learn where your heat level is, don’t use the thermostat like you would for a hvac-heater, use it more like a low-med-high setting and you’ll be all set. ... show more

This heater oscillates and has more temperature controls. Honeywell puts safety first . Internal thermostat that turns unit off if it gets too hot. NO hot surfaces to touch. Tips over it turns off. This is the fifth one of these I’ve purchased, not because of issues but because they work so well. We have a 50+ year old house and the bathrooms did not have any hvac running to them (we’ve since remedied that issue). I purchase another for my wife’s office. When she left that job she gave it to her replacement. These heaters work very well and I see little to no impact to our electric bill since we can keep the main house a little bit cooler.
