This is a top of the line machine. I ordered it as I have a long driveway, in the mountains. it is steep and dirt, gravel surface and uneven. My first time out with the honda snowblowe, I broke several sheer pins and the boss bolt. I realized that as the honda auger housing skid plates are on the back of the auger housing. Poor value with this snowblower purchase. Looks like Tarzan, throws snow like Jane. Can only handle light, fluffy snow. Just had a heavy wet snow storm. My neighbour's Ariens snowblower handled the snow just fine, this Honda just plugs after a few feet. Plus the paint peeled off the cowling and discharge chute after one year. Power steering took a bit to get used to especially going backwards. Throws snow a long way, power chute works great, had other machines where the power chute died first time out. Handles slushy snow well too.

Very disappointed for the money. Will only throw fluffy snow which it does with easy. The chute always plugs every time I use it especially if the snow is heavy. Also breaks shear pins which are tiny/ better stock up I usually break 2 or more a season Buy something else that comes with hand warmers .starts with easy but well over priced ... show more

This is the best snowblower hands down. I got this because my wife never liked using the old blower because she would always have to lift it to have it scrape to clean good. Well this is a dream, not only does it have tracks so all my wife has to do is press a button and the piston locks to what ever height you need, no lifting the tracks keep it clearing snow all the way down. Also Honda is the only unit that provides DC starting, what that means is it has a battery on board so just turn a key, no plug required. This unit will throw snow approx 50 feet, has the quietest motor I have ever heard. To make it turn, you just lift a lever, it is a one handed operation. I plan on having this for many, many years. No more getting stuck or having to lift to get under the ice, just move the snow and get it done. You pay for what you get, so get the best!!! ... show more
