This is the key to a real blessing for those with disabilities, injuries, accidents, or for whatever reason, cannot get to the door to let in anyone on you own. I had to deal with it myself and this is safer because you don't have to get extra keys made and hand out to those helping you or checking in and bringing/dropping off anything for you. It is really easy to use and can be accessed on your cell phone. Everything is in the box and very neatly packaged. All the brochure/manuals were in the solid color sleeve and so easy to install on your front door or wherever needed. It can be programmed with plenty of codes to accommodate any household. The unit is small, but super heavy duty in weight and construction as well. All hardware is included to make it easy enough for anyone to install it. I did not have a completion photo to add as I am moving and will be installing it at my new place, which is also why I could not in good conscience give it five stars yet.     • Very confusing. Needs better instructions
I was very excited for this arrive. I was going to use it to replace another keypad lock I got a couple years ago. Upon unboxing it everything seemed great. It’s not too bulky so it seemed like a good fit for my door. I unboxed everything and went through the directions. This is where the trouble began. The directions are very confusing and almost impossible to understand. I got help from several of my family members, and none of us can figure it out. I really wish I could’ve loved this and it could’ve been our new door lock for our home but it didn’t work out unfortunately. I have added a few smart devices around my home as updates. I don't like to depend soley on electronc things, for example, I still like a lock with a physical key and this one has that. One thing I like about the design of the Homki' it'ss well suited for an outer storm door unlike many keypad style locks which have an addtional footprint that extends outside of the door's cutout hole. The Homki is fairly easy to install. It is made of solid metal on the keypad side but the back side battery housing is plastic. There are 3 way to unlock the lock. A really fast and easy install as well the setup went very smooth. Just follow the directions for install and setup and your all set within 10 to 15 minutes. You can setup codes for up to 150 people, these codes and be set as temporary or on a schedule. By using the HOMKI Smart life app you can setup codes to your needs simply and easy. Whats really nice it it has one touch lock so you do not have to fiddle around with keys or punch in codes just to lock it. The batteries can last up to 200 days before needing changed out.     • Works, but not well.
This is the 5th different type of smart lock I've installed. It's the first one I didn't leave on my door. The mounting mechanisms are not as robust as other devices I have installed. The programming instructions did not match what was actually required to program the device. The audio responses from the device were broken sounding and very hard to hear. Overall not worth it, but two stars because once you get through all that, it at least technically works. ... show more
