  • Rugged and safe
Color: Black
I bought this for my 94-year-old father. He recently moved into assisted living. He'd been using one of those inexpensive front-wheel aluminum walkers with a pair of tennis balls on the back to act as skids. He's mentally sharp as a tack but has difficulty walking, especially with losing stamina. He can only walk a few dozen feet before he needs a break and is hunting for a chair. One morning at breakfast I saw this walker parked outside the dining room, and I was very impressed with how rugged and well made it looked. So, I snapped a photo of it and did a Google image search to find it. This walker has made a world of difference for him. He's out and zipping around the building a lot more. He uses the seat to take breaks when he's tired, and the seat doubles as a table if he needs to carry something. We reviewed the "correct" way to use a rollator-walker to ensure he was safe. I found a really good video on Youtube called "How to use a walker with a seat the RIGHT way". It's by "Your PT Guy". I highly recommend it. He's funny, and he goes over everything you need to know not to get hurt. I think the only negatives I have for this rollator are that it is heavy and awkward to lift when folded. To fold it, lift the handle on the underside of the seat, and the frame folds together with the front and rear wheels coming together. It's like a folding dining chair. The handles also fold inward. But it's still big and kind of awkward. This is more an issue for me or whoever he is traveling with, not so much for him, as he will never lift it into a trunk. I don't mind, but I could see an older, petite woman struggling with it. Another thing I like is that the wheels are solid rubber. That, combined with the weight of it, helps it hold position on the floor when the parking breaks are engaged. Again, this makes it feel safer and more stable. ... show more

  • Extremely sturdy and comfortable
Color: Black
I wanted something very comfortable and supportive for my husband to sit on, since he has to stop and rest a lot while walking, and he has a large frame. This is a Buick, maybe even a BMW. The frame is large and sturdy, and the seat wide and well-padded. It does fold very flat, but it's large – we're going to have to check whether it will fit into the trunk of a car. There's no doubt it is a very serviceable rollator, with lots of room under the seat for things he may want to tote around. I'll update this review when we check on how it fits in the car, but I'm thinking that if there's a problem we'll keep this, because it's so well made, and maybe get something bare-bones and lightweight for traveling to medical appointments, etc. But since we live in a retirement community, this will be ideal for anywhere he wants to go on campus. ... show more

  • Great walker.
Color: Black
I bought this for my husband. It has and is helping my husband take a walk and sit down when he needs to. It’s heavy to lift and close up for me. Only one complaint I have is after I fold it up there is no clamp or anything to keep it closed. I bought Velcro put it around the folded wheels to keep it closed. The walker is very sturdy and my husband is happy to have it. ... show more

  • Strong, Sturdy & Solid
Color: Black
Because there's not a lot of selection for children with special needs (or their parents) and the selection that is available is ridiculously expensive ($1500 for a basic stroller), I've had to get a little creative to offer my son some mobility without breaking the bank or my back. I bought this walker to use as a "quick trip to the store" stroller. My son enjoys being high enough while seated on the walker to see things as he would have if he were standing up and I like that I don't need to bend over so far to pick him up, like in a traditional stroller. The seat has a nice amount of padding for comfort and t moves around smoothly. It has a stylish hi-tech look, not so "medical" which I think is important - humans tend to be curious by nature and will often stare when there's something obviously medical going on, who needs it? The walker offers good stability and is overall a good buy. The downside: The walker does not go up or down steps very well at all and could tip over, causing a person to fall IF they're not using the back brakes properly while coordinating their movements over steps. For this reason, I would not recommend it for anyone with any mental decompensation. It is a little heavy, the price to pay for a sturdy walker, I suppose. I cannot see anyone who is frail being able to lift this in and out of a car independently. The handles are not terribly comfortable - the finger grips seem to be off a bit, but not so much that anyone is going to be constantly bothered by them. The wheels are smooth plastic, no tread whatsoever for traction. This has made it so that it slides across our wood floor instead of stopping completely. I will update my review in a few months when I have had more of an opportunity to use it as an alternative to a stroller and know it better. For now, I can say that it a very sturdy and strong walker that would be best used for those who are not frail, but just need some extra stability while ambulating or need to sit down often. ... show more

  • Medline Premium Empower Folding Mobility Rollator Walker is sturdy and easy to use.
Color: Black
Medline Premium Empower Folding Mobility Rollator Walker is sturdy and easy to use. I assembled it fairly easily following the instructions provided. The rollator has a comfortable seat with adjustable back rest which can easily be switched to reverse seating positions. The seat height (all four wheels) is adjustable as well as the height of the back rest and the height of the rollator handles. The brakes are stable when used while walking and secure when locked when you want to sit. I like the stand inside feature which quickly places you close to a sink, countertop or work surface for easy and safe access without a lot of steps needed to do so. I wish that the color choices did not require a higher cost to the user; I would have liked to have chosen a color other than black but did not find it affordable. ... show more
