I bought this freezer and a different brand (Whytner) at the same time. The hOmelabs version is bigger on the outside, uses 20% more electricity, is noisier, the thermostat doesn't really work (min setting is -12c and max is -20c when I tested with a freezer thermometer that I also bought here on Amazon). Worst part is that the hOmelabs freezer smells, it offgasses a chemical odor that hasn't gone away in a week so far. The Whytner freezers are much better and cost exactly the same. Oh, the hOmelabs version doesn't even have 4 feet on the bottom. The back is bare metal which will scratch your floor. Trying to return the hOmelabs bad freezer but I threw out the box when it arrived due to space storage issues :(

Great small freezer. Arrived in perfect condition; I let it sit for 24 hours just in case it was not shipped upright. Turned it on, and 12 hours later it kept everything I stored frozen (manufacturer recommends leaving it on for 24 hours before storing anything, but it only needed half that amount of time). Very quiet, too, although full disclosure I do have it in our basement, so any noise would likely not be very noticeable anyway.

I bought this freezer at the beginning of the COVID19 pandemic because I feared getting sick and I wanted to pre-cook meals and freeze them for my child in case I was unable to cook for her. This is perfect. I put it in my living room where it doubles as an end table next to the recliner. There is no extra room in my kitchen. It holds alot of frozen food, much bigger than a cube size unit. Once the pandemic passes, I might relocate it to the basement but for now, it is pretty convenient as a side "table" - perfect height and I can access it easily. Even if I do relocate it, as long as I have help carrying it, it won't be a problem.

Approximate interior dimensions: top shelf: 12 X 12 X 6 bottom half-shelf: 7 X 12 X 6.5 Delivered faster than promised, but in black instead of depicted white (not a problem for me). Comes with warning to keep upright at all times, but it came packed super snug in box too tight to lift out. So I had to cut (destroy) the box to get it out. As noted by other reviewers, the back interior wiring area is open instead of being concealed behind a panel. Not a problem for me, but query could this be problematic if you have small inquisitive children? Comes with warning to leave it unplugged for 24 hours after removing from the box, so I can't yet confirm that it operates as expected.

Bought this almost a month ago and food is frozen solid! As long as it hold out for this stay inside pandemic and keeps my food frozen I will be happy ( I also had to call customer service because I couldn’t locate thermostat as per directions were incorrect and the representative was pleasant and helpful) I regret not buying one size up .. I have not the small one but the 2.1 - should have bought the larger one and now sold out

Very nice little freezer. Not too big, not too small, offers the benefit of seeing more of what you have so you don’t hoard on accident. Three shelves on the interior but no shelves on the door. Controls on back of unit where compressor is so there is no interruption of the space inside.
