The media could not be loaded. UPDATE: After I took the video I posted with my review, I unplugged the freezer for 24 hours before plugging it back in, the noise hasn't happened again since then. I'm not sure if that's something that might just happen the first time it's turned on, or if it might've been shaken around when it was being delivered, but just to be on the safe side let this freezer sit for about a day after you receive it before plugging it in. So far it works great, it didn’t arrive damaged, and the cup of water and ice cream I put in as a test both froze over completely as expected, the only thing I’m concerned about is every now and then the freezer will turn on and make this noise for about 30 seconds, this is my first time owning a chest freezer so I’m not sure if this is normal which is why I’m bringing it up here, if this is what chest freezers do than as of right now I can definitely recommend this. If they aren’t supposed to be doing this, then, well, I’ll update the review based on how hard it is to fix/replace ... show more

I actually almost lost 1000$ worth of meat relying on this freezer. Meat was frozen, I let this freezer chill for about 36 hours I put the frozen meat in it and the meat began to thaw. I had to cycle the meat and put it in friends freezers. Aswell as my personal freezer. After being loaded it didn’t finally refreeze the meat for almost an entire week. Be careful using this freezer.     • A Great Replacement Freezer
Size: 7.0 Cubic Foot Chest Freezer
We purchased this new freezer to replace and older (20+ yrs) freezer and we're very happy with it. It arrived with no damages to shipping box or the freezer at all. Once we unwrapped it and placed it into the house where we wanted it, we waited a few hours to allow the gas & oil to settle and we plugged it in to get it cold. It didn't take but a couple hours to get it to where we could transfer the food into it and was freezing nicely. The instructions recommend setting it to half way to get it going on the first "run". After everything was well frozen, I turned it down a half of notch to save on energy and everything is still very frozen as it should be. I probably could go down a little more if I need to, but it's fine. It runs very quiet and you would never know it's running. To the people who complained that it was noisy, you must realize that any freezer or fridge that has been moved around and on it's side must sit for a period of time to allow everything to settle again. I would give this zero stars if I could. DO NOT PURCHASE! I decided to order in spite of all the units that were arriving damaged. It came on time and only had two small dents so we decided to keep it. We filled it up with hundreds of dollars worth of food in the first 7 weeks we had it, including 100oz. of breast milk and 20 frozen crockpot meals. It stopped working before it was even two months old! We called and they made us do a factory reset. Waited 24 hours while food was expiring (dry ice did not help) and called back. We were given a case number and told to email our information. No one at the only number provided could help with anything. They even refused to provide a phone number so I could talk to someone in customer service. I followed their instructions and emailed, including an itemized list of all food lost (since the product they sold me did not do what I bought it to do) and got an automated response saying someone would follow up on 1-3 business days. I waited 3 business days and haven't gotten a response. I emailed twice more with no answer. I sat on hold for their tech line for 32 minutes before getting disconnected. This issue is still unresolved. I've still lost hundreds of dollars in food. And I've lost the only backup supply of food for my son. That milk took me almost 3 months to pump. It’s big and spacious, and it most likely works. I’m just pissed that it has a dent in it, especially in the front. The packaging was fine so it must be a factory issue!
