I purchased this bed rail for my grandma about a month and a half ago, after she had surgery for a broken bone. She is been recovering at home since, and her bed only got a wall on one side, leaving the other wide open with nothing to grab onto. I figured this would help, and now it’s been alright. The height adjusts is nice and it gives her something to hold onto when she needs it, literally a relief since she barely moves around now but still needs that support. It feels sturdy, I tested it before use, and the base doesn’t wobble. There’s a little pocket on the side that’s handy for keeping her glasses or the remote close by. The rail is not super wide. It slides under her single nursing bed mattress, works fine for us. I wish it felt a tad more solid for the price, and the grip could be softer for her hands.

feels very solid and well-built. The material looks strong, and the design provides good stability. The media could not be loaded. My mom is stubborn as well as completely out of it when she wakes in the night for the bathroom. She cannot go to the bathroom without her walker any more, but she SAYS when she wakes up in the night she “doesn’t remember” because she’s half asleep, even when I put the walker right in her way to get out the door of her room. We got this to make it a little more difficult for her to get out of bed, thinking it would wake her more, and so far it is working. She can’t just sit up and go, she has to sit up and slide her legs off and sit up properly to get able to get around it, and it is waking her more. She even uses the light to light her way to her walker (in front of the door), and uses it to walk to the bathroom. I don’t know if this is actually deterring her, or she’s given and resigned herself to using her walker, but either way it was a win as we’ve had no more falls (well, not in the night anyway). She also appreciates being able to use the handle to help her stand as well, as it is much easier than trying to push herself up off the soft mattress. What was a temporary fix will probably become a permanent fixture to her bed now.
