  • Read this review before you buy.
The media could not be loaded. The equipment came with manufacturing defects. For example, you can’t adjust the seat because the metal piece doesn’t have the hole needed for the adjustment mechanism to fit but that was the least of the issues. The biggest problem was the cable being extremely short. As you can see in the video, it came about 6 inches shorter than it should. Think carefully before buying; you might spend two days assembling everything and still end up unable to use the equipment. ... show more

  • Great Home Gym Setup for Our Teen Athlete
We bought the Fitvids Home Gym Equipment for our high school son, who wanted something solid to use on days he couldn’t get into the school gym. He’s been using it almost every night since we set it up. The equipment is sturdy, smooth, and easy to assemble. No complaints.

  • Poor experience with the weights and customer service
My experience has been a bit different than others with this weight set. The shipment arrived in several big, heavy boxes (expected) and it took about 2.5 hours to put together. The instructions were basic and easy to follow overall. The first problem I ran into was the cable installation, which is one of the last steps in the process. They ended up being about 6 inches too short and when connected to the weights, it pulled the top weight up 6" higher than the weight stack. Big problem. I ended up making a temporary fix by attaching a chain to where it anchors to the machine to give it the extra length it needs to make it useable until the manufacturer can help me fix it. So now I can temporarily use it. Two exercises into my first workout, the stopper at the end of the bottom cable came loose and started to jam up in the pulley. It ended up being a small rubber 'stopper' that doesn't do it's job. It's supposed to friction fit tight and hold the stopper in place so it doesn't move. This one moves freely and makes the workout impossible with that lower cable. So I decide to try to make the best of it and finish what I can with the other cable up top. After a few reps of pull downs, the pin fell out of the weight stack. I put it back in and noticed that this thing doesn't secure into the weight stack at all. It sort of lays in the hole and works for a moment, but after a couple of reps it just falls out and you no longer are pulling up weights! It's way, way too loose. So now nothing is working right. During the process, I found the customer service number in the manual that came with the set. I emailed it with my concerns and that email came back as invalid. I double checked and tried again with the same result. So then I went online to the website and found another different email address for customer service and emailed that one. Same problem. Came back invalid. I then found a place on their website to directly leave them a message, which I did but have heard nothing back at all. I cannot find any phone numbers or any other contact information for them so there's no fix or replacement parts to be found. After a few conversations with Amazon, the first option I was giving was to return it and that would be extremely challenging. Amazon did come up with a reasonable solution for me though and working through that resolution now. Many others have been very pleased with this set so maybe I just got a funky one, but the inconvenience and lack of contact with the manufacturer is frustrating and for something that cost this much money, it should be better. I'll update if anything in the process changes. ... show more

  • User weight capacity falsely advertised
Well, for starters, it was advertised as a 500lb user weight capacity, but the instructions that came with it clearly stated 375 lbs. So now that I have these 5 massive boxes opened all over my garage floor, I know only half of my family members will be able to use it. Not at all happy about that. And it's way too much to pack back up and return. The collection of screws/bolts aren't labeled with numbers so it was a bit of a guessing game trying to figure out what goes where. The handlebars are backwards from how they should be. There's a big gap between the top weight and all the rest. (We think one of the cables was just too short.) The numbers that tell you how heavy the weights are are off, not even, like they're supposed to be. Several of the screws were stripped and/or didn't fit properly in the holes, requiring a hammer and some serious muscle to get them to fit. All in all, it's usable... with some tweaks. But spending $500, and several hours of assembly time, this is disappointing. ... show more

  • Issues with product
Having issues with wager holding in place. Causing cable to start stripping. Place holders are falling off as well as bar weight pin.

  • Good gym for everyday folks. Not for weight lifting maniacs
Works well for me. There is a junction just above the seat that I have cracked my head on twice. I put a foam rubber piece there so I don't do it again. Also, the pin that hold the weights is too short and falls out. I went to Home Depot and got an 8" bolt and that solved the problem.

  • Not great
Came with scratches and bends one of the main cables for pulley was short had to improvise chest press and peck fly are in horrible position and non adjustable also was missing a weight box if I didn't have to break it down to send back I probably would have returned

  • Steer clear of this company
I should have done more research, missing parts and zero customer service. Call their number and it goes directly to voicemail which is full. Unfortunately when I looked up their reviews after my purchase I found this: “Fitvids home gym equipment generally receives mixed reviews, often praised for its affordability and versatility but heavily criticized for poor customer service, difficult assembly instructions, and quality control issues such as missing parts or design flaws. The Better Business Bureau indicates the company might be out of business, which explains the lack of customer support.” All I can say is buyer beware ... show more
