  • Great compact device for home workouts.
I like how much it delivers in such a small package. It feels like having a full gym right at home without sacrificing half your living space. One of the biggest highlights is the versatility—I can easily switch between exercises like deadlifts, overhead presses, squats, and seated rows without needing multiple machines. It saves time and keeps my workouts efficient while still targeting all major muscle groups. Whether I’m focusing on strength or just getting in a quick full-body session, this system handles it all. It doesn’t clutter the room, and the sleek wooden base actually looks nice rather than industrial. Setup is straightforward, and I can store it away quickly when needed. It takes 4 AA batteries - 2 for each side. They are a little hard to get in, so you may have to use a tiny screwdriver to hold back the screen to slide the batteries into their compartment. I also appreciate the adjustable resistance, which makes it perfect for progression. It’s beginner-friendly but still challenging enough as you get stronger, so it grows with you instead of becoming obsolete. This works well on low-pile carpet, but it's more stable on a totally flat surface, so it doesn't rock while you're standing on it. It’s convenient, effective, and thoughtfully designed—definitely worth the investment. ... show more

  • Dual Stack Resistance Platform for the Home Gym Dual Stack Resistance Platform for the Home Gym
I was really excited to get this and have been testing it for days now trying various exercises before posting this review. I think it is a good idea they came up with but needs some fine tuning to make this really great. The wooden platform to stand on is a thick piece of natural wood that looks really nice but I wish it had felt on the bottom to protect hardwood flooring. This is not a deal breaker since you can order felt furniture peel and stick moving pads thru Amazon to make up for this. Included are two small carabiners, a pair of handles, a long bar and a belt. The belt is very basic and useless with this home gym equipment because even if you combine two pair of large carabiners (not included) to make it reach to connect and stand on the platform while leaning forward trying not to fall you can just barely reach to clip the belt to the dual stack resistance mechanisms. I am only 5'7 for reference and the pulleys do not have a super long reach when fully extended out. Once you do all of this it barely feels like a workout. If instead you attach the carabiners to the long bar and crawl under it while being sure to place your feet on the wood platform that workout is just okay. So really the only attachments worth using are the pair of handles which do come with their own much shorter carabiners. These handles are good enough for this machine but can be replaced with others you may already have. The provided handles are small for me and possibly too small for larger people but they are comfortable. Now for the biggest problem with this machine. I have read and reread the instructions numerous times and have included them in this review. One stack never allowed me to twist to adjust the resistance level. The other stack let me do it once and it remains at '2.' Because of this one stack is slightly heavier than the other one (no matter which arm I use with it). One solution is to simply do biceps curls one arm at a time with this machine so you get the same level of resistance on each hand. Then you can go and repeat it using the side that is slightly heavier. Before I could even use this machine I had to find "number 7 batteries" which I quickly discovered when looking at the battery compartments use size AAA batteries. I have never heard of anyone referring to them as "number 7." I Googled it and China and India are the only ones to call them "number 7 batteries." The batteries are not included and you will need two AAA batteries per side (4 in total). My suggestions to turn this into a great machine and not a 3 star review would be as follows: 1) Include the batteries and the additional carabiners needed. 2) Attach peel and stick felt to the bottom of the wooden platform. 3) Fix the adjustment mechanism so the tension on each stack works. This is a hug deal since you are ordering this expecting the adjustable mechanism to actually adjust. 4) The adjustment mechanisms on each side are only designed for cable flow coming straight out of them. If you turn them ever so slightly to try to do cable flys you will shred the cables over time. Find a way to make them pivot some without shredding. 5) Make the platform longer so that it can be rack mountable. If you could easily bolt and unbolt this from an optional squat rack or half rack even more exercises could be performed. You could do push presses and overhead presses if sitting it at about shoulder height and you were sitting on a weight bench or Plyobox. If it has been redesigned to pivot the pulleys some cable flys could be performed. If mounted low it could be used for seated rows which is a very popular exercise. Other companies make much more expensive versions of this for the home gym. If this was a feature even if the pulleys were not as powerful (but worked properly) many people would want to buy this at this price. Maybe I am being too critical since I currently have a home gym and a shed gym and have had gym equipment in just about every home for the past 30 years but I really expected this to be much better than what it turned out to be. This is not to say that biceps curls cannot be done on this which is by far its best exercise since it is easier on the joints then doing the exercise with free weights. So perhaps this machine makes sense for you. In my opinion it costs too much for too little functionality at $199.99 (at the time of this review). I will be experimenting on my own with converting mine into a rack mountable system with felt on the bottom as described above. This will allow for more exercises but with the two pulley mechanisms not being equal in tension I am not sure how much better it will be. ... show more

  • So far so good So far so good
I'm not 100% on how to review this home gym, I'm in no way a fitness or weight lifting expert. The device itself is nice and small and easy to slip underneath a bed or in a closet when not in use. The pulleys are attached to a thick piece of natural wood. You do have to make sure you are standing on this wood when doing exercises or else you're just pulling the whole thing up. The only carabiners are attached to the handles but I am also able to attach the bar to those same carabiners and just leave the handle on. I haven't used the belt. For me this is plenty challenging, but I am also an out of shape overweight 53-year-old woman. The settings one through five are supposed to correspond to 15 to 20 kg (roughly 33 to 45 lb) but I cannot tell a difference at any of those settings and although challenging I am able to use it at any of those settings. Which which makes me question the corresponding weight, I struggle with 10 lb barbells so how am I actually doing okay with 33 to 45 lb. I also question how challenging this would be for someone in better shape than me. But perhaps I'm just misunderstanding something about the way this works. So far for me I am enjoying it and I'm finding it challenging. I'm not 100% sold on the value, I feel like most of the things you can accomplish with this you could probably accomplish with bands. ... show more

  • smooth, constant resistance and cumulative statistics
This is a well-constructed piece of gym equipment. I think the mechanical aspects of this home gym equipment are high quality and very well built and designed. The flywheels provide a smooth, constant resistance throughout length of the pull. Each flywheel arm assembly has its own gear control setting and digital readout. The resistance is adjustable from 15 kilograms to 20 kilograms in 1-kilogram steps. The gear setting displays as 0 to 5 on the digital readout. 0 is also the OFF position. No statistics are gathered in the OFF position. Statistics When in gears 1-5, data is automatically taken and cycles through the display in this order: 1 gear, 2 count, 3 duration, and 4 calories. When in gear, the machine enters sleep mode after a 1-minute pause. It will automatically activate upon startup. My only criticisms This is a solid, fine piece of gym equipment. My only criticisms are that the LCD displays are too dim. I also think that the AAA battery holders chosen was a poor choice. It requires special finagling with the battery contact springs, in order to get the batteries to fit under a partially-covered chamber. Despite that, I love this home gym equipment and still recommend it. ... show more
