Description

The HS515GM is a Ruggedized Micro Red dot sight with the option of a 2MOA dot only or a 2 MOA dot with a 65MOA circle reticle pattern. Employing new LED technology, the life time for one CR2032 battery can reach 2 years if left on constantly. However, the shake awake feature also works to extend the battery life. The M signifies extra rugged features including a CNC milled 7075 aluminum housing, pressure tested for submersion up to 30 meters for 30 minutes and a snag free housing design that protects the windage and elevation turrets. This product includes clear Flip-up lens covers, a quick release mount and a kill flash filter.Features- shake awake motion on with last setting recall- Parallax free, Unlimited eye relief- waterproof- switch between a 2 MOA dot & 65 MOA circle with dot. Here is my take on this Holosun 515GM red dot. 1. The Holosun 515GM arrived quickly and was well packaged upon arrival. 2. Solidly built, looks to be rugged and should be able to take some abuse. 3. Was close to being zeroed for 50 yards out of the box and it was easy to get to zero with a few rounds down range. 4. Nice clear/crisp 2 MOA dot and 65 MOA circle with good clear glass. 5. Lightweight so won't add much weight to your rig. 6. I liked the mount it came with (1/3 co-witness) and it attached solidly to my rail. I have no worries about it falling off. 7. Held zero after a couple hundred rounds of 5.56 and being thrown in my back seat of my vehicle over a bumpy road. 8. Looks awesome on my AR which is a plus. 9. A bit smaller than I was expecting but the description does say mirco so no complaints. 10. I like the see through flip-down front and back lense covers. Nice touch. 11. Overall it is a nice red dot and I am happy with what I got. My initial take of the Holosun HS515G-M is it appears to be an awesome red dot and I am happy with what I got. Is it worth $320? `That's up to you and what your expectations are. For a couple hundred more you can buy a Aimpoint Pro which is a proven commodity. But if you are like me and not jumping out of helicopters and looking for a mid-priced red dot for HD and plinking then the Holosun HS515G-M is a good pick IMHO. ... show more

I wouldn’t really consider this a budget bias I’m not a rich man but these are great compared to those six $700 sights out there. I love the shape the wake feature battery last long so far is holding zero just fine. I have Aimpoint, EOTech, Holosun, Trijicon, and a variety of other red dot sights. This Holosun is on par with my AimPoint T2, though slightly larger. You are able to select between three different reticles. I prefer the 2 MOA dot. Others may prefer to incorporate the 32 MOA ring into the sight. I really like that the sight came with an included QD mount. The mount is solid and doesn't loosen under recoil. I had to buy the mount for the Aimpoint T2 separately. Been using this for a number of years without any issues. I still prefer my Aimpoint T2, but it costs twice as much. If you have multiple firearms to fit with red dots, the Holosun is the way to go. ... show more

Best on the market for the price. Quality glass, though it’s not as clear as some, it’s still pretty damn clear. If the glass were a tad better, it’d be a 5 star optic all day. Super simple to install, and the 65 moa circle and 2 moa dot is plenty bright or dark. Functions great. Couldn’t be happier with how it performs on the range, and I’d be confident enough to take it into battle. Badass little red dot. I love Holosun products, I have about 7 at this time, and that number will increase. My only complaint is that I don't want or need the anti-reflective device that's attached to it. I have no intention of using it in combat so I don't need it.

Ive had this dot for a few months now and its being used on a HD build. I like the ability to change the settings and I have no worries about durability. there are other holosun optics that may have more features and/or are cheaper but the idea behind the 515gm is to get the job done well without compromising durability. I turned the shake awake off but when it was on it was lightning fast. I may change the factor mount out but so far I haven't had any issues. ... show more
