I had high hopes for the HITWAY Electric Bike, but it turned out to be a major letdown. First and foremost, the battery life falls way short of the advertised range. I struggled to get even close to the promised 55-mile range in pure Ebike mode. It seems the actual performance is far from what was stated. The 750W motor, while powerful on paper, didn't live up to expectations either. The claimed 20 mph top speed was rarely achieved, even on flat terrain. It felt sluggish and inconsistent, making my daily commute more frustrating than enjoyable. Additionally, the foldable design, though convenient for storage, doesn't make up for the bike's lackluster performance. The adjustable handlebar is a nice touch, but it's overshadowed by the bike's other shortcomings. The shock absorption system was another disappointment. I expected a smoother ride, especially on rough roads, but the bike's performance left much to be desired. The brakes, while adequate, didn't provide the sense of security I was hoping for. Overall, the HITWAY Electric Bike failed to meet my expectations. It's not the reliable, long-range commuter I was looking for, and I regret this purchase. Let me start by saying that this is my first e-bike and I did a lot of research before purchasing. I rode a traditional mountain bike last summer and was introduced to e-bikes after a friend purchased one. I received it in the allotted time and it was undamaged. It was packaged with lots of protection. The bike is 95% assembled which is great. Now for the riding and performance. I have ridden it for 30 miles and can say that I am very impressed with the smooth acceleration and up and down shifting. The throttle is smooth and responsive. I think it's not bad, but a few more rides would give it a better rating. The bike is very sturdy and well made and the headlight is bright enough for night riding. The seat and handlebars are too high at their lowest level and the handle bars are right staight above wheel which makes it very hard to control. The throttle is very sensitive and a very slight turn almost pulls you off the seat. I really wanted this to work but to me it was a wasted $815.
