  • Big clear picture, good price.
Style: PL1 Size: 80"-120"
This is my first short throw laser project so I don’t have much to compare to other than regular flat screen TVs and just a cheap overhead projector that I’ve had. That being said, very impressed with this little unit. I set it up for a 120” screen with a Silver Ticket ALR screen. The screen made a big difference when compared to just shining on the wall, as I received the projector before the screen and wanted to try it out before getting the screen set up. The screen makes a big difference, especially with the room lit. The projector really shows off in a darker room though, but I’ll have no problem watching daytime football games in a well lit room with this thing as well. It should be noted that to make a 120” screen, the thing has to be fairly low to the ground if you don’t have an incredibly high ceiling. Mine is in the basement and the ceiling is probably 9’ high. The projector is on a short stand that I found and is about 16” tall. It also has to sit about a foot and a half away from the wall to make the screen that big. If that’s ok with you, this thing is incredible, especially for the price. While shopping around, I obviously found many that were far more expensive. They may be better, but for twice the price? Probably not twice as good. The 4K looks amazing on a screen this size. Setup was very easy. Adjusting the screen size and the corner points is pretty self explanatory, just takes some playing with the positioning of the unit. And the screen adjustment settings. If you bump it or need to move it, getting it back to where you had it is very simple. I’ve always had Apple TV systems for my other TVs, this uses the google play system which functions very similarly. No real complaints with that. Overall, for an entry level short throw projector with options for a very large screen, I can’t imagine much better for this price point. ... show more

  • Best Projector
Style: PX2-PRO Size: 90"-130"
Writing this review after 50 days of use. This is my first TV projector which I am using in basement and it is great experience. I am using directly on white painted wall without ALR screen. Ordered special projector screen paint for wall from Amazon (approximately $186.00 with tax). Set up was very easy, just to put few inches in front of wall and move it in proper direction to get appropriate picture size on the wall. The quality of picture is great in low light area. It has Film-Maker mode in picture setting and it gives theater like experience. Remote control has short cut for Picture setting and Audio setting which is helpful to easily change appropriate picture and audio setting without closing current program. This projector is for low light area. I wouldn’t recommend this projector if there is lot of lights in room or for outdoor. Sound from is good enough for my basement but I am using external soundbar (from Sony 2.1 channel with inbuilt subwoofer). I would suggest using external soundbar and/or speaker system to improve sound experience. Dolby atoms sound is great using external soundbar/sound system. It has eARC port for easy connection for external sound system. It doesn’t have advanced Wi-Fi 6, 6e or 7 but has Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac (dual band) which is more than enough to watch movies, sports and TV show over Google TV. I needed to buy Wi-Fi extender (TP-Link Wi-Fi range extender, approximately $139.00 with tax from Best Buy) to get better Wi-Fi signal in basement. It would be great this projector has Wi-Fi 6, 6e or 7. It has Google TV and it has all the apps I needed including Netflix, Amazon Prime, Sling, ESPN, You Tube and Tablo TV. Some apps require download which is easy with Google account. It does not have TV Tuner which I don’t need it and I don’t miss it. Now, many Apps are available to watch local channels for free and Apps availability for local channels will improve in future. Great and quick customer service experience from the dealer for price adjustment. One problem I have noticed is this projector turns on itself on some nights and I haven’t figured out to fix this problem yet. Not sure if this is a bug which may require software update. I need to make sure to plug it out at night to prevent turning it on itself. ... show more

  • Great Projector!
Style: PX1 Size: 90" - 130"
I have this PX1 paired with a Paris Rhone 100" UST screen with a 0.6 gain. Does ok with some ambient light but really needs to be in a light controled room. The projector itself is only 2K lumens and with the negative screen gain works out to about 1200 lumens. I will say that in a dark room, it's plenty bright and I don't like searingly bright TVs anyway. Colors are fairly accurate as well. Where this projector really shines is contrast, which I feel is fantastic. No issues with the Android operating system that I've noticed. Sound is ok, but I'm adding an Atmos soundbar anyway so I'm not going to be critical of the built in speakers. I've also added some 6500K bias lighting around the back of the frame and I think looks great. Overall I'm very happy with the projector. ... show more

  • A cinema at home. Better than most at a lower price.
Style: PX1 Size: 90" - 130"
This is an excellent projector and at night it is almost as good as a giant TV screen. That is if you project directly against a wall. It is probably even better if you purchase a good screen or paint your wall with a special type of paint to repel light. A movie theatre at home! Works as an Android smart TV. Although you don’t need to use a dongle or your internet provider’s TV box (Xfinity gives you one at no cost with some internet packages) to download Apps or watch various types of content, it will need a separate access to watch Netflix. That is easily fixed with a U$30 dongle from Amazon or Google or an AppleTV box. The only reason for reducing a star is that mine has a focus issue in one of the corners. Hardware problem it seems. Having said that, Amazon has been good at assisting me and the seller was even better. Very professional and highly efficient. Hisense customer service has an answering machine and takes almost two weeks to reply but when they do, they take it seriously and do it well. ... show more
