Just purchased the 2026 Hisense 85" Canvas TV, and honestly, it really does look like a painting on the wall. (Just like everyone mentioned) Mounted it in the main bedroom, and the magnetic frames blended perfectly with our furniture, especially matching the dresser. We originally wanted artwork on the wall but didn’t want to sacrifice space, so this TV ended up being a perfect hybrid solution. Thousands of art to choose from, and there’s no subscription!!! Performance wise, movie mode is bright and the speakers are better than expected for a TV, though I still recommend pairing it with a soundbar if you want a more immersive experience. It runs on Google TV, so setup was extremely easy and convenient when syncing with your Google account. It allows you to configure on your phone instead of typing in the TV. Google TV interface runs very fast and responsive. Plenty of ports for devices, so no issues hooking up gaming consoles or streaming devices. (2x 144hz HDMI ports and 2x 60hz HDMI ports.) Colors look vibrant and natural, especially in art mode where it really looks like a real canvas. Installation was straightforward, but this is a huge TV, so you’ll definitely want 2–3 people to mount it safely. It sits very flush against the wall, which really enhances the “canvas” effect. Everything from movies and streaming shows to video games looks amazing on the screen. The Google TV platform is easy to navigate, and setting up all of our favorite apps was quick and simple. The TV responds smoothly, and switching between apps is fast and hassle-free. Another thing I really like is the anti-glare screen. I was planning to buy a Samsung, but I kept looking for alternatives because of the high price tag. For some reason, this TV showed up in my feed, and I immediately started checking it out. The price is almost half that of the Samsung Frame. This Hisense Canvas TV is really thin. I installed it on my wall myself since it comes with a wall mount and the setup was very easy and straightforward. I didn’t need any help because the TV is lightweight. It also comes with a magnetic wood-look frame, which I really love. The picture and video quality are excellent. I tried the art gallery feature, and it honestly looks like a real painting. The Hisense Canvas TV is a true innovation. Naturally, it functions as a great standard TV, delivering a superb image enhanced by 4K Ultra HD resolution and a built-in 4K AI upscaler. Its performance as a "regular" TV is excellent. I was also impressed by the audio technology, which creates a beautiful surround sound effect that is clearly a cut above the rest. Wireless capabilities include Wi-Fi 6—a great upgrade over Wi-Fi 5 that offers faster speeds. The unique wall mount features an ingenious design that allows the unit to sit flush against the wall, just like a framed piece of art. It comes with the necessary hardware and instructions for mounting on various wall types, such as concrete block or wood studs. The mount is cleverly designed to let the TV hang perfectly flat. Additionally, the TV includes a four-piece metal frame that attaches magnetically, making the screen look like a mounted gallery art piece. This is where Hisense really goes the extra mile with a creative design touch: you get access to an art gallery featuring everything from landscapes to still lifes and more. When you’re done watching TV broadcasts, you can switch it over to display framed art. The artwork can cycle through in a slideshow format. Plus, the TV detects when you enter or leave the room, automatically starting or stopping the art display. This TV is a marvel; it is not merely a screen, as its advanced technology allows access to beautiful paintings, images, and artworks that can be displayed just like a framed picture. When listening to music via Bluetooth, these images can serve as a backdrop on the screen, and—surprisingly—we can even upload photos directly from our phone's gallery. I really, really wanted to like this tv. After reading all the gushing reviews and watching videos of people rave about it, I thought I'd give it a shot. My primary use for it would be as an art display, for me to upload pictures of art and let them cycle throughout the day. However, there are several major problems, and I don't think this technology is anywhere near ready to replace actual art hanging on your wall. The first issue I immediately noticed is that the tv claims to automatically adjust brightness and color temperature depending on lighting conditions in the room, but it only partially works. During the daytime, when there's a lot of sunlight in a room, the tv looks the best its ever going to look because the sunlight and bright ambient light in the room illuminating the wall that the tv is hanging tricks the eye into thinking that the backlit tv screen is illuminated by the light in the room (but it isn't, it's lit by the backlight in the tv). So the lighting and the tv match really well in this case... but in rooms with only middling amounts of light, for example on a cloudy, rainy day, or a day where you've decided to close your blinds, the tv is way, way, way too bright. It no longer looks like art on the wall, it looks like a normal tv in this situation. I tried calibrating the tv and turning the brightness all the way down to the minimum, but the backlight is still lighting up the tv screen too brightly... as if that weren't bad enough, when the backlight is set to anything lower than the default, the way they attempt to achieve a darker image is by strobing the backlight. This looks bad. Many people are sensitive to light flicker from LED lights (and tvs), and even those that aren't will notice that something on the wall keeps catching their eye and drawing attention to itself... the tv flicker. It looks absolutely nothing like art hanging on your wall, it's a bright, flickery mess, and there's no fix for this. It looks so bad I have to wonder if there was something wrong with my tv. And last but not least, the off angle viewing is pretty rough. Looking at an angle makes the image look tinted and slightly desaturated. It's so bad that even when you're looking at the tv straight on from the front it seems as if there's a vignette around the edges. Unbelievable. The color on the tv is... fine... although it has a subtle pink tint out of the box that you will have to calibrate to remove. The remote is nice. The tv's OS is actually not bad at all. The tv is relatively light at about 30lbs, and very thin, and everything you need is contained inside the tv so you don't need a breakout box like the Samsung Frame tv. The matte screen stops detailed reflections rather well, but the contrast in the image can be washed out because the matte is so aggressive. So I'm giving it 2 stars for all that. But, ultimately, this technology is simply not good enough to do what they advertise -- be an art display. In a best-case-scenario it doesn't look good enough to fool anyone that they're looking at art instead of a tv, and in a worst-case-scenario everyone in the room will be thinking it looks hideous. ... show more

I’ve been a long time Samsung TV fan, but decided to try the Hisense Canvas instead of the Frame even though the Samsung price dropped $3 less during Prime Days. It did not disappoint, it is a great TV with all the bells and whistles, streaming services work excellent, it comes with the wall mount or table stand and a nice teak frame, and I love the art feature! It really looks like a painting hanging on the wall and all the art is free - 1000+ pics with no subscription required like Samsung. Very easy to install and set up through Google.
