This is not user error, I followed the directions to a T and correctly installed the supplied pump hose to the side of the unit. To test it out during first use, I ran the hose to a bathtub and stopped it up. When we checked the next morning, found a huge puddle all over the hardwood and not a drip in the tub. Double checked all connections and directions. Trouble shooting contained no helpful information. Manufacturer phone number listed on Amazon was incorrect, so I went to the company's website for the right one. It was useless, sent me through an automated process that was a complete waste of time, never connected me to an actual human. HEADS UP: If, like me, you are considering buying another Hisense dehumidifier because you were happy with another Hisense product, you may want to go a different direction this time... the quality is not the same! I chose this unit because I have another Hisense dehumidifier that we've been using every day for years. Since that house is currently empty (we will renovate in a couple months) we needed a pump so that we didn't have to come by every morning to empty the bucket.

Very please with the Hisense Dehumidifier. We have owned one prior to ordering this model in the color Black. Hisense is a good and reliable brand. I would recommend to family and friends. Works to capacity. The product speaks for itself.

Item didn’t work, the humidity sensor stuck at 30%, which means that the compressor never turns on to dehumidify. The return was also a hustle, it wasn’t directly sold by Amazon so I had to return it to a third party. The return item was received by seller on June 2, but the seller didn’t refund the money upon receiving my return. They waited another week & I had to request my refund again & finally received refund on June 9. The whole experience was bad, from defective product DOA, to external process of return not tracked by Amazon the same way as other returns, to further delay of refund that stretched to the end of Amazon return policy limit. It’s much better if it’s actually sold by Amazon, Amazon issues refund as soon as it’s shipped, don’t even wait for return receiving.
