Reviewing a product after a few days of use doesn’t provide much meaningful information. Reviewing a product after it’s been in the back of a pickup while playing off-road across 15 states and maintaining an ARB Zero fridge at 24° for 22 days (on only 4 charges) in 100+ weather, powered an electric trolling motor 8 combined days across approximately 50 miles of water, and was also used as the main battery in a 2022 Can Am Maverick X3 over 600 miles should be enough usage to provide a good, real world review. This battery has done that and more on a total of 7 charge cycles as of today. This isn’t my first LiFePO battery but it is my first “smart” with cold weather capabilities. Initially I didn’t place any value on “smart” capabilities but I’ve come to really appreciate being able to check the status of the SOC and actually see the amp draw in real time. There’s no guessing available capacity or feeling nervous about a dead battery miles from the boat ramp. What I did place a lot of value in is it’s built in heating element that allows safe charging below freezing. This is the Achilles heel of standard LiFePO batteries that cannot be recharged when the temperature is too low. Maybe you live in a tropical paradise and never experience cold weather. In that case, you’re fine with a standard lithium battery and charger but I’ve got all 4 seasons and I don’t stop outdoor recreation when the snow flies. This is 80% of the reason I finally invested in lithium. Unfortunately, this is the one area my review lacks at this time but I will update this winter. The other 20% is weight. A typical 100ah AGM will weigh around 70lbs. This battery weighs 26lbs. In a kayak, that’s significant and it would also be significant savings used in a large bank in a travel trailer or RV. I can pick this thing up easily with one hand. Not the case with my other AGMs. Using a Victron Smart Blue 15A charger and configured exactly to the manufacturer recommended charge profile, it took just under 8 hours to fully charge the only time I’ve completely depleted the battery which again, blows all AGM batteries out of the water. Fast charging deep cycle batteries is not a high quality charge and reduces the usable life of the battery. Not the case with LiFePO. Charging is one area that most people fail the technology they’ve invested in. Your battery is only as good as the source that charges it and they are not all created equal. It’s critically important to use a charger capable of adjusting every parameter of the battery’s specific charge profile in order to keep it healthy. The vast majority of premature failures involving AGM chemistry is due to undercharging which damages them just as fast as overcharging or deep discharge. The point I’m trying to make is don’t go cheap on your charger. It defeats the purpose of dropping coin on a high performance battery while trying to maintain it with a standard charger. Protect the investment. Shipping was very quick. I believe that I had the battery delivered in 4 days. Having been an Amazon Prime member for years, I’m not sure why I’m paying for it now after Covid. 2 day delivery is a distant memory as far as Prime in my situation. Some things take a week and I’ve also waited over a month for “Prime”. I guess it’s really just “free” shipping whenever it gets shipped. The battery was enclosed in heavy foam and sealed in HD cardboard which was more than enough protection to arrive pristine. Enclosed was a simple user guide that was surprisingly translated well and made plenty of sense. It also lists the specifications of the battery which is important to keep on hand. There is an app that can be downloaded and used on a smartphone so you can view the status of the battery. It has just enough information to be useful but isn’t optimized for English. With some improvements the app could really do some cool things. We’ll see. The battery has a built in carrying handle and uses standard Phillips screw in studs which are top mounted. There has been some debate as to the safety of using this chemistry of battery with high draw components such as trolling motors because they can exceed the maximum draw of the battery. According to the manufacturer, this battery (12v@100ah) is compatible and I’ve not had any issues whatsoever with my motor exceeding output. I can’t think of any other recent purchase that I’ve looked forward to reviewing more than this. I am a natural skeptic and every expectation I’ve had has been blown away. There are countless lithium batteries available and it can be quite intimidating selecting one. This is one of the cheaper options available but I have no doubt whatsoever that this battery performs as good or better than others that cost 3-10 times as much. There are only a handful of manufacturers that are in turn, rebranded by countless sellers. Spend more if you want for the same thing. As far as I know, none are American made regardless of the claims. If that’s your thing, you’ve got a while until being able to do that. 7 complete cycles so far with potentially 4993 or so left is mind blowing. I couldn’t be happier with this battery and it has exceeded all my expectations to the point I’m disgusted with my high performance AGMs now. As funds are available, every battery I currently own will be switched to lithium and I’ll definitely buy from this manufacturer again. Really an outstanding product. ... show more

I searched for quite a while before I found the HIMASSI 12v 100ah battery. I wanted a battery that was lightweight, safe to operate, and had both high temp charge and low temp charge protection. The HIMAISSI has it all. The low temp heater activates to keep the battery from being charged in below-freezing conditions. As you know, attempting to charge a LiFePO4 battery in below-freezing conditions can destroy the battery. The BMS signals the heater to turn on so that the battery is not damaged and it turns itself off when temperatures are nominal for charging. The Bluetooth capability is amazing. I can check the status of the charge of both of my HIMASSI batteries from my recliner inside my house, even though the batteries are located in my garage. My solar generator also has Bluetooth capability and is located in the exact same location in my garage as my HIMASSI batteries but the solar generator Bluetooth requires that I go out my front door and go closer to my garage in order to make a Bluetooth connection with my solar generator. The Bluetooth has never failed to connect to the HIMASSI batteries. Both batteries appear in the Bluetooth app and provide detailed information on battery conditions. I would say one of the best things about the HIMASSI batteries is the customer service. I had the good luck of getting responses to my questions about the batteries from HIMASSI representative Anna. She was amazing and never failed to respond to my questions in a timely manner. Anna provided me with information that was helpful to me in setting up my solar system and she explained herself in a way that was super easy to understand. I rate Anna's customer service AA++. I could not have expected a better representative and I have never seen customer service provided by any company the way it was provided by Anna from HIMASSI. When I need more batteries to expand my system, you can bet that it will be HIMASSI batteries. When you find a good product and great customer service, there is just no need to look anywhere else. Thank you HIMASSI and thank you Anna for all of your assistance. The HIMASSI claim of 100% after-purchase care is truly accurate and greatly appreciated. Did I mention that the HIMASSI batteries are great products? Just in case you are wondering, I did not get paid to write this review. I purchased the batteries with my own money and I did not know anybody at the company prior to making my purchase. The low-temperature charge protection works like a charm. This keeps the batter from sustaining charge damage at temperatures below 50 degrees F. You can actually put a charger on one of the low-temp-protected batteries and watch the battery climb to 50 degrees before it starts charging the battery. The power the BMS receives to heat the battery comes from the charger and not the battery itself. Once the battery reaches optimum temperature (about 50 degrees F) you can see the current in the Bluetooth app appear. Until the battery reaches the proper temperature, the current remains at ZERO so as not to damage the battery. I have purchased two low-temp batteries from Himassi to date and the low-temp charging protection of both batteries works flawlessly. I am simply thrilled about this product and will continue purchasing until I am up to battery capacity for my system. Again, I cannot say enough good about the impeccable customer service I have received from Anna at Himassi. I actually made a mistake and ordered a third battery that was not a low-temp model but because Anna knew that I had intended to purchase and needed the low-temp model battery, Anna agreed to send me a low-temp battery and a return label so I could return the battery I purchased by mistake. You can't ask for better customer service than that. The Himassi product and customer service are simply great and I felt compelled to review it as such. Don't hesitate to purchase a Himassi battery.
