I got this stool to use in my kitchen while cooking because I experience fatigue a lot. It looks great and it is sturdy but when I sit on it, I feel like I am sliding off of it. I am hoping the seat cushion will become worn in eventually.

These stools are extremely sturdy. Very comfortable and large. We hv a 9 ½ foot snack bar and 3 fit perfectly. They are very good quality, almost feel like a fancy restaurant style seating. Purchased four stools, they are larger and sturdier than expected. Three had no problem one had a factory defect, it was missing threaded insert for a screw. Trying to work with the customer support as requested by the card inside the box, to get a replacement part. They just keep asking for more and more information rather than sending a replacement part. If you have a defective stool you may be better off returning it and buying another one rather than going through customer service like the card inside the box requests you do. After 4 emails requesting information they shipped a new part and it works fine. Like the chairs, so we bought more, six in total and all but the one went together with no problems ... show more

I had previously looked at these stools and when the price dropped a bit, I decided that they were for me. I am very pleased with them. They are very sturdy and comfortable. Assembly was pretty easy, but my only problem was that you couldn't use any power tools because everything is put together with allen head screws and the clearance on almost everything was nil. I can be tiring on your hands especially if you have more than one to assemble. It took me about an hour to 1 1/2 hours to assemble 2 stools. I've had the chairs for weeks now, and there are no signs of any loosening of the bolts, or problems with the swivel mechanism. The nylon pads on the stool leg bottoms slide nicely on my wood flooring and don't scratch. They don't tip easy either, great for smaller ones to climb into. They are the exact right height for a countertop height island. They feel really well put together and have a look of much pricier models. The color is definitely black on the cushions themselves, and a dark burnished brown on the stool assembly. ... show more
