  • Superb Quality
I recently purchased the Hikig 2 Set Desk Mount for my flight sim game setup, and I couldn't be happier with the results. This mounting system is a game-changer for anyone looking to enhance their flight simulation experience. Firstly, the build quality is outstanding. The mounts are sturdy and well-made, providing a reliable and secure platform for my Logitech X56 HOTAS, and are easily detachable by just the simple pulling a lever. I was impressed by the durability of the materials used, ensuring that my expensive flight control peripherals are held in place safely. The set-up was relatively easy, and only took me around ~30 minutes to fully set up both mounts. It's versatile enough to accommodate various setups, and you can easily change configuration if you ever change your HOTAS set-up. What sets the Hikig Desk Mount apart is its stability during intense flight maneuvers. I no longer experience the frustration of my joystick or throttle slipping or wobbling during crucial moments in the game with them just sitting on my desk. The mounts stay firmly in place, providing a realistic and immersive flying experience. ... show more

  • Sturdy
It’s good, sturdy build, and doesn’t move when in use. Only issue is it comes partially assembled, so you have to disassemble some things to put it all together. The plunger at the top that secures it to the desk came assembled and I needed pliers to undo it so I could slot it in. But once it’s together feels great! 8/10 ... show more

  • THE best DIY deal when 50-60% off - not for those easily frightened by giant piles of parts
5 stars because good luck finding any better deal. I got this for $72 USD, which is usually the price of just ONE mount. With this, you get TWO desk mounts that you DIY custom build to support almost any device you want. You can mount this in a variety of different configurations, and I am considering getting a 2nd copy of this kit just for mounting extra parts to the existing frames. Yes, I said custom build. Because let's just get it right out of the way. The negative reviews, in all their histrionics, are also correct: - Yes, it's so cheap because a lot of assembly is required - The manual is inaccurate and is more general ballpark inspirational, it doesn't hold your hand - This is a DIY parts kit - you have to use your brain and figure out a lot on your own If you are easily scared by a giant pile of parts, this is not for you. In which case I would encourage you to still try anyway. It really is more intimidating looking than it actually is -- which is much the same for the games that use mounts like this. If you don't have what it takes to assemble this, how will you survive the complexities of flight? Maybe a smartphone or console game would be more suited to you? If you appreciate the greater possibility held by a pile of parts, keep reading. There are some things to keep in mind when assembling that aren't obvious or mentioned in the manual: ☀ The Logitech Extreme 3D Pro isn't officially supported but can be secured to the mounting rails with 4 Velcro cable/zip-tie strip/wraps. This also goes for just about anything that doesn't have screw holes. ☀ Wipe down all the main metal pieces with paper towels before assembling or your hands will stink from some kind of industrial grease they made this with! ☀ The manual says to loosely attach the little trapezoidal silver nuts/bolts onto things _before_ sliding them into the rails. TO MAKE **EVERYTHING** EASIER, disregard the manual and instead first put them directly into the rails (make sure they're facing the correct way - match their shape to the rail) to create sliding screw holes. To prevent them from sliding out, use the little HIKIG branded square plastic pieces on the ends of the rails. The whole process should now be tremendously easier. ☀ If your desk's front facing edge is not flat/straight but rounded (like mine), you will have a challenge - this mount may pivot/spin around. In this case, either insert/build some kind of shim to provide the mount with a flat straight facing surface, or -- if you're willing to deface your desk -- drive a dowel, wood screw, or pin through the screw hole on the top of the mount to provide it with a 3rd contact point that will prevent it from swiveling around. ☀ After assembling the clamp, the best path to calibrate the clamp to your desk thickness is as follows: (1) flip the lever *into the locked-on position* before assembling it to the main vertical rail (2) use the rotation of the top of the clamp to snug it against the desk (3) flip the lever down to pull the clamp away from the desk (4) unscrew the clamp's circular pad A LITTLE TINY BIT to provide extra pressure (5) flip the lever back up to secure the entire assembly - this SHOULD NOT require great force ⚠ ! WARNING: DO NOT OVERPRESSURE THE DESK WITH THE CLAMP! ⚠ You only need "just enough" snugness that pulling the mount firmly will wiggle your desk rather than the mount! This kit has no safety functions to prevent you from building it in such a way that it will destroy itself, or your desk. To the reviewer who complained about the metal noticeably bending when mounted, you used WAY too much pressure! ... show more

  • Good so far. Does NOT fit Virpil CM3 joystick base without modification.
It's standard 6020, not much to go wrong here. Perfectly sturdy when it's put together. The mounting of the throttle crossbars to the 2020 arms is different than pictured in the instructions. Not overly difficult to figure out, but something to be aware of. This is one of the more adjustable extruded HOTAS mounts available, so you've got a lot of ability to get your controls set in comfortable positions. The head of the clamp is maybe a bit smaller than I'd prefer, but it's stayed solid when clamped on my desk, so my concerns are probably not necessary. The joystick plate WILL NOT accommodate the Virpil stick bases (I THINK that the WarBrd base has the same hole layout as the CM3?) without modification. No rating points knocked off for this, as they don't list them being specifically compatible, but it'd sure be nice if they added a Virpil layout. I pulled the bottom off my CM3 base, used it to mark for new holes, and drilled properly spaced ones. Two of them were a little tight up against existing holes, but I did have enough room. Get yourself an automatic center punch to mark the holes and step up through several bit sizes for the best results. ... show more

  • When you open the box it looks rather complicated, it really isn't just time consuming.
First let me say, they send you everything you need, right down to the Allen wrench. However, I didn't use it u had my own 5/32 which seemed to work better. I drive over the road so my table I clamped these to is not like your standard PC desk, however it still worked and does the job well. I have the Winwig Orion 2 throttle, the rails are just long enough, but barely. The throttle at full power, I can't reach one of my hats on the throttle, minor issue. The flight stick is the Winwig F-16. With the flight stick I had to adjust the mounting rails to allow for full motion of the flight stick. So when you are building yours don't screw them all the way tight just make sure they are tight enough they won't fall apart, but still allow for slide adjustments. Mounting hardware, everything I needed was included, screws and wing nuts for the throttle, and machine screws for the throttle. I still have plenty of spare bolts l, nuts. The mounting of then was simple enough you have two style of brackets one thst has a bunch of holes, circle cut outs for pretty much every and all flight sticks, the throttle I just used the straight across mounting brackets. Over all, extremely happy with the set up. ... show more
