Upon installation, I first found a stud in the wall to support the weight. The screws they supplied broke off before I able to get them completely installed. I ended up buying some deck screws to mount it.

Assembly is required but super easy. Purchased for my 16 yr old son who has a sports bike, race bike, and dirt bike. He loves this and wants 2 more so he can have all 3 set of helmets and gear set up. He was able to easily put together himself and hang without issue. Will be purchasing again to add to his collection. It fits any helmet , we tried motorcycle, dirt bike, race and ATV helmets for fit, and looks great. I bought this for my dad last year for Christmas 2023, that way he would have a place to store his jacket and helmet. It was easy for him to put on the wall. He is able to put his key on a little hook behind the jacket and just sticks his gloves in his jacket pockets. First off, this item is marketed for motorcycle riders. So you would just assume the hanger would be adequate for an avg size motorcycle jacket- nope. The wood hanger is way too small and fits a regular shirt maybe. I kept the item for the metal bracket and made my own wood hanger to fit my jacket. Then the cheap cheap Chinese screws. they WILL strip out even with pilot holes for studs. After two stripped I just went with regular drywall screws that were obviously made much better. ... show more
