  • Cardo for Godzilla
Style: Freecom 4X Size: 1 Pack
Picked up after my son stated I had to get one for my bike/helmet. It works well with my helmet and installed easily. It connected to my phone without any issues and works well with my Samsung Galaxy. The sounds is very nice and crisp and clear. When a call comes in and I'm talking everyone states it doesn't sound like you are on the bike. That is until I hit the throttle and the growl of the engine. So far I've worn it multiple times and the battery life is fantastic. I haven't had to charge it but did so just in case on my last ride. I rode for over an hour and the battery was still full. ... show more

  • Pretty impressed
Style: Freecom 4X Size: 1 Pack
A little better than my 10 year old Sena. The sound quality is 50% better. I didn't really think I would use the voice commands, but now that is just about all I use. If I had a complaint it would be having to go through the pairing process, every time I wanted to connect to other riders still using the Sena systems (SMH10R). I was told it wouldn't work at all, but it connects right up and works well. The problem is, once the connection is broken, by powering off or getting out of range, I have to go through the pairing process again. Maybe my riding partners will eventually switch over. ... show more

  • Would recommend
Style: Freecom 4X Size: 1 Pack
Cardo has an easy set up and connections. Range is good and it last for several hours. I charge maybe every other ride. Sounds is good for music and mics are clear. Easy volume control and the app is great and easy to use.

  • Great device, sounds great, looks great.
Style: Freecom 4X Size: 1 Pack
I love this product. I used to do the airpods under the helmet and it was a pain in the ass every time I took the helmet off. Sound quality is nice, only thing is that the treble can get pretty high when turning the volume up, I would recommend wearing earplugs while wearing your helmet. Installation was pretty easy, took me maybe about 15 minutes without instructions; pretty easy if you use common sense. The speakers fit perfectly in my Shoei RF-Sr, as they have cut outs that perfectly fit the 40mm JBL speakers. It's also pretty comfortable so long as the wiring is done properly. My phone connects to the headset upon start up every time and there haven't been any hiccups with connectivity. The quality of the device itself is nice too; the latch that hooks onto the lip of the helmet is thick and sturdy, the actual device that powers everything is sturdy and stays on the connecting piece really well so I never have to worry about it falling off while riding. There's also the mesh tech for when you're riding in a group, but I haven't been able to use that. The only complaint I have about it is when using "hey, siri", i have to say it a couple of times. It might be me having to use my big boy voice or it might be the placement of the mic inside the helmet. Either way, it's still a great and convenient piece of tech to own if you're a daily rider. ... show more

  • Don't waste your time with this Freecom 4X headset - Returned Them!
Style: Freecom 4X Size: Dual Pack
First a little info. I had a pair of Cardo Scala Rider G4 headsets before the purchase of the Freecom 4X. The G4 headset was 12 years old and worked but did not stay charged, but they never stopped working properly. The sound quality was much better than the new JBL speakers. I thought the new pair of headsets would work great on our 2 new Goldwings, a 2018 and a 2021 model. I was wrong! It was difficult to pair them with the bikes and if you did get them paired, you would need to re-pair them when shutting off the motorcycle and restarting. Never could get the music on the motorcycle to play through the headsets without sounding tinny and low volume. The Bluetooth pairing on the headsets was impossible to figure out which device, phone or motorcycle was paired to which Bluetooth channel. I tried for almost a month trying every combination possible to make them work. Never got them to work satisfactorily. If you think the documentation would give a full description of each function and how it worked, think again. The documentation was written to be understood by people of so many different languages that it was not sufficient in English. Now on to the main reason we purchased the Freecom 4X headsets in the first place. They are mainly used for the intercom function to communicate from bike to bike when riding. Where do I start on the problems we had. First the sound quality was very poor and we had a hard time understanding what the other person was saying. They would pick up wind noise so much you could not hear what the other person was saying and the loud wind sound would eventually give you a headache. The auto-volume was either too loud or too quiet. Review: the buttons were confusing and had too many functions and very poor marking on what they did. They did stay connected and the range was fine. The LED lights on the headsets were hard to see in sunlight. Another annoying item with the intercom was when you were sitting side by side on the bikes, say at a light, there was a big delay from what the person said and when it came through the headset. Kind of like an echo. This did not happen on the Scala Rider G4 headsets. I know these are new headsets, but I never thought my 12 year old headsets would be better then the Freecom 4X. Sadly they were returned in the required period and I'm off researching other models and brands. ... show more
