I'll preface with everyone's skin issues are different and unique. I've been plagued with rashes in many areas including my scalp, neck, etc. Dermatologist visit(s) recommended a variety of strong steroid ointments and a wet solution for my scalp. Stay away from all scented cleansers, perfumes - the usual drill. I wasn't inclined to smother my body in steroids. I'd come across Derma E Scalp Relief at the grocery store & thought it was worth giving a try. All scalp issues, burning and flaking disappeared. I'd go back to my old favorite products and the irritation returned so here I am using this product again, courtesy of Amazon. NOTE: Many have complained about the hard plastic containers. True statement - they are difficult to squeeze product out of. I opt to unscrew the lid, squeeze shampoo/conditioner on to my leg, recap, wipe product from leg and use. TMI but it works. Suggestion: Also keep containers upside down in your shower/bath! ... show more

I have thick-ish wavy hair, Oily scalp with some dandruff & seborrheic dermatitis around the base of my head. This shampoo helps the itch from the dermatitis initially, but does not make it go away altogether. It makes my hair feel clean but too soft (so it ends up being flat). Does not help with the oily scalp. Lathers ok, smells good, and yes, the bottle is terrible so it's easier to either pour it into your hand or just swap out the bottle. All in all, it's a nice shampoo but since it doesn't help my oily scalp, makes my hair too flat & doesn't get rid of the dermatitis itch I have to keep searching (and I have tried A LOT of shampoos!) ... show more

I swear by this stuff!! I have really bad eczema on my head and after using the shampoo & conditioner for a week I am never trading. I barely itch my scalp now and feel so at ease. I just wish it wasn’t expensive. Lastly, it’s a hard bottle to squeeze.

Clarifying shampoo. Clean, soft hair. Very nice for dry winter hair. I use lots of product on my fine hair and it leaves my hair dry and not feeling clean. This shampoo is the bomb! Cleans scalp and removes residue. Bottle top doesn't work to squeeze as the bottle is ard ti squeeze. I just unscrew the lid and pour out the shampoo. ... show more

Makes hair smoother. Reviews that mention the bottle are accurate. Deducted 1 star based on how horrible the bottle is (hard to get the thick content out and it slipped and the cap fell off). Don’t buy if you have arthritis or a condition that makes it hard to use the bottle. Manufacturer should listen to reviews and either use a bottle that squeezes more easily or put it in a jar. The content is too thick for a stiff bottle and makes it frustrating to use. Other than the bottle I liked the content and based on the consistency, little goes a long way. ... show more

I've been using this for about six months now. I don't have eczema or any major scalp issues, but since being in perimenopause I have a very itchy dry scalp sometimes and was looking for something more natural to help with that. This shampoo and condition combo work great for me. I love the scent, they leave my hair clean, fun and looking great. I had to knock a star off however because the bottles are absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to squeeze product out of. I don't know what kind of thick, not pliable plastic they are using on these, but I am an in shape person with no arthritic or grip issues and I can even get product out of these without unscrewing the top and just pouring it out. Because it's free of all the icky ingredients and works good for me I continue to buy it despite the bottle issue, but it's a definite problem they should address. ... show more
