Metal was quite thin & bent when trying to install to the point it almost broke - so couldn't use it as the little sturdiness it had was over. I have the same length & similar do from the 1990s that is sturdy & the metal is definitely thicker & stronger.

It is flimsy and cheap and they have the audacity to charge so much for it. The old school white I had from the 90s is way more sturdier than flimsy pole I received today. Very disappointed.

    • Missing parts and questionable support
There is nothing to this rod. It's a thin material, easily bendable, has sharp edges and it is straight forward to install assuming you get all the parts. The rod I received consists of 3 rod pieces, a plastic band, 2 brackets, 4 wall anchors and 4 screws. I wanted to install it at its max size, 48" as it says on the product page. The more the rod stretches out, the less support it has and it bows out under the weight of itself and the curtains. That is why the product page list a middle support hook as one of its parts. I didn't receive this. There is only 1 plastic band included with my rods so 2 of the rod pieces can have some support with each other but not the 3rd rod piece with the other 2. A 2nd plastic band would have been needed at a 48" span. Even then, I did not trust the band to provide much support so I had to reinforce the rod pieces with sticks and tape. For the missing middle hook, I had to use an older hook bracket I had lying around. ... show more
