I was looking for a pump to facilitate transferring used motor oil from a 30 gallon drum into smaller containers to then go to the recyclers. While this pump didn’t come with any directions it was easy enough to figure out: 1) Slip the spout through the nut, add the rubber washer then screw the spout to the pump. 2) Attach the top of the pump handle to the top of the pump piston rod. 3) Screw the pickup tube to the pump and extend it. 4) insert it into the drum and screw it in and start pumping. It took about 20 seconds or so to prime the pump after which the flow volume was pretty good – especially considering the oil drum has been outdoors and the overnight temperature in the upper teens. I can’t attest to the “heavy duty” aspect as this is not something I’m planning on using on a daily basis. But even for my planned short-termed use, the value, to me is still really good. ... show more

The pump works as you would expect. The flow rate is ok and it will extend down to the bottom of your barrels for all the drops. The materials are good quality. I had to tighten up a piece, so check it over before use but it was probably due to shipping. I would recommend this product. Hope this review helps! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Got this for a small 60L drum of engine oil (Liqui Molly Top Tech 4200 5w-30) and it works really well. The suction line is adjustable, so it could be placed into larger drums. The very bottom of the line has arches cut out so you can almost completely drain the drum. It's really easy to put together out of the box and doesn't really require any tools. The bottom of the pump itself threads into the drum making it easy to use. The nozzle part is removable, so I am guessing you could replace it with something longer if you needed, but the end it came with worked for my purposes so I can't be sure. Caution: The nozzle does drip after it's been used. I recommend putting a mat under it.. Overall, I am happy with the product and think it's worth the price. ... show more

Junk, leaks unbelievably bad. Tried to tighten everything, tried to replace the o-rings and still leaks and makes a mess
