Nice doorbell push!! Easy installation. Lighted (very nice). Button clicks or snaps when you push it, providing sensory input that the user has actually pushed the button. Backlight goes off when the button is pushed, providing additional sensory input that the button has been pushed. Contacts seem to 'wipe' as they make and break; a much-desired design feature that el-cheapo doorbell pushers don't have. All said, it's well worth the extra cost. And looks elegant too.

I think this is a very well made doorbell. It is heavy for its size and looks great. It comes with two mounting plates which is great because I followed the directions which show you how to install it upside down (with the weep hole at the top) and you will break the first mounting plate trying to remove the doorbell to flip it over.

The new doorbell push button is heavy duty and of good quality and the light is bright enough at night. Value for the money I think so, but others may have their own opinion. I like the idea that it comes with 2 plastic back plates just in case one breaks. During installation one may encounter that the original screw holes don't match. Best to use either one of the holes to hold the plate in place. Recommend that one should follow the instructions attached for proper alignment and snap-in.

The button and housing has a nice finish and feel. The mounting plate is made of plastic. My order did contain 2 of these - which was good, as I broke the first one during installation. The small plastic prong on one end, which latches into the bell button housing from the back, failed. I am not sure that the mounting plate will last long, but will write an update at a later time.
