My old plastic doorbell finally crumbled and died. I found this one that closely matched my storm door handle. It's sturdy and had adequate instructions. My handyman had it on and working in no time. I have regular 110 current. The instructions (see picture) indicates 2-2.2V.

This is a heavy metal, very substantial door bell button. But. The little plastic mounting plate is sure to fail in short order. The button body is loose on the plastic backing plate and will easily just pull off. The thing was very easy to install, but the directions were WRONG! it has you prying the mounting plate off the button first, when in fact the mounting plate is not installed. Took me a couple of minutes to figure it out. Button hooks at the bottom and then is supposed to snap in to the plate with a tiny little plastic tang holding it on. Please guys, just give me a couple of exposed screws to hold the damn thing on! Or, make the mount out of metal. ... show more
