These speakers are lightweight, easy to install and handle. For my installation, the wiring that came with the speakers was long enough with slack left over to adjust. The connection was easy and straightforward and they are always ON, as I plugged them into where my TV is covered. I do have the same issue as many about the volume and how it connects with bluetooth and makes that loud noise but I'm hoping it won't cause any issues with the speaker. The sound quality is EXCELLENT. The LED shows up red and when connected, its BLUE. Perfect size and the cost was excellent for my application. No vibration noises, distortion etc... First of all I read hundreds of reviews while looking for a set of speakers for my husband for our anniversary. I have a portable Bose speaker that ran me about 400$. So I didn’t think I would find anything in this price range that would be at all comparable. Thankfully I bought extra speak wire. It only had about 10 ft of speaker wire. So we hooked these speakers about 20 feet apart and they sound awesome. They are very clear even when at max volume at 80 ft away. The bass is impressive at this price point. I have a Pyle portable party speaker and the bass isn’t great. So when I heard this I was shocked!! This summer we are building a back deck around the pool and I will be purchasing these to go in the back. The only bad reviews I read on these were that they started cutting out after a few months. I think that may be the wire they use or the connections. I’m hoping since mine aren’t directly in the weather that won’t happen here. If something changes I’ll be sure to update my review. Update: as of May 10th these speakers are still amazing!! We use them pretty much every day. No crackling sound and the only time it cuts out is if your hooked to Bluetooth and u get to far from the making speaker. These are a must have. ... show more

Purchased these speakers and installed them under my covered deck. Worked great initially, and only used them a couple of times until we didn't use again for about a month until we had guests come over. Tried turning on the speakers and immediately heard a repeating popping sound. Tried playing music and the popping sound persisted making it very difficult to listen to music. Went back and looked at the reviews and saw that other purchasers experienced the same issue. I probably only turned on these speakers about 10-15 times before the speakers going out. Very disappointed that I could not return the speakers back to Amazon (>30 days) and learning that if I returned the speakers back to Pyle that I would be charged. If anyone is considering purchasing these speakers, don't, unless you use every day to see if eventually the speakers go out and then return before the 30 day window ends. ... show more

These speakers pack a wallop of sound, and the fact that they're rated for outdoor use is icing on the cake. Absolutely easy hook up to my Bluetooth transmitter - I didn't have to do a thing but plug it in the wall and everything paired up nicely. The only shortcomings I found were that the power cord was too short - an extra 2 or 3 feet would have been wonderful - and the speaker wire provided for the second speaker really should have been a bit heavier gauge. Outside of those two small things, overall I am very pleased and look forward to a summer full of music on my porch. ... show more

Ordered these July 25th and received on Aug 1st, original delivery date was Aug 12th. Installation: I've waited to write a review to have some time for evaluation. Speakers physically are sturdy and were easy to install on my pergola, the brackets are adequate and do the job. The RCA connection on the powered speaker is a bit flimsy when pushing the connector in but works fine and have had no issues. The passive speaker connections are very sturdy and work very well. I did solder an additional piece of wire for the passive speaker since the original one is too short. I had read where some people had issues with the rubber covers not sealing well and even popping off after wires were connected so I took some black duct tape and sealed the edges so they wouldn't come off. I've had several hard downpours and have had no issues with water getting in the speakers. I plan to cover them in the future when I find something that works well for my setup. Sound and Bluetooth: Bluetooth connection has worked great and have had no issues with it disconnecting, I have even been able to walk in my house with my phone in my pocket and not lose connection. The only complaint would be the LOUD sound it makes when the Bluetooth connects, although I believe that is because I have the volume on the powered speaker maxed due to the inconvenience of having manually turn it on and increase the volume knob every time I want to connect them. I just plug-in and un-plug and extension cord for that. The sound quality is decent and is worth the price for the speakers. The 600W is plenty of power if you really want to irritate your neighbors and doesn't distort unless you are turning it up all the way. As others have mentioned, the base is lacking but not as bad as some have stated in some of their reviews, in my option. I plan on getting an outdoor subwoofer and splicing it into the speaker wire for the passive speaker to provide deeper base. My only two real complaints is the way they have done the covers on the rear of the speakers (should have a tight snap-on cover that seals the edges) and the short thin gauge wire for the passive speaker. I will update this if there are any changes to the sound,, operation or weatherproofing with the speakers. ... show more

These speakers are a great addition to my patio, bringing crisp sound in an outdoor environment, well designed and so simple to set up. Only flaw is that the included wire to connect the 2 speakers together should be longer, at least 50 feet, this was maybe 12 feet. Simple fix, just added additional length of speaker wire to complete my installation ... show more
