2019 chevy equinox roof rack without existing side rails. This product shipped quickly and I installed by myself fairly easily. Instructions included were NOT thorough. To install correctly, assemble the feet to the rails and hand tighten all adjustment screws leaving some wiggle room to adjust for fit. Remove 4 screws from vehicle roof using provided tools. Place all four feet and start threads (provided screw holes are very snug and can be filed down if necessary). Attach rack to roof using screws from vehicle. Tighten adjustment screws. Very solid and stable roof rack for the money!

It fit my car easily and the installation was relatively self explanatory. The “user manual” is a poorly printed piece of paper with useless photos, no list of pieces included, and unclear instructions. Figured it out in my own and it works well with my kayak rack.

I installed this weekend. Very happy w/ product and how it was made. I had bought a different one before and had to return. Nothing fit right and they wanted to me to cut and fit parts. Not w/ This Product. Very well made and labeled, which brings me to Only concern. The Instruction were Worthless. The back page that had all the step-by-step was Missing 50 5 of everything , since I guess they ran out of ink. If Not for the Labels on each part, I would have returned. Second thing was number of screws. I had Two many of One and Two Few on another buy made it work. I would say Lay Out parts and count BEFORE starting to put to together. Be sure to leave screws loose when installing to roof rails so that everything aligns correct. Afterward it was Very Time Consuming to tighten screws with the allen wrench making sure not to scratch paint. I also really liked the looks. The OEM one hangs out too much and just did like the styling. Also be sure to Remove the sticker, after dry fit Saying all of this I would Buy Again.

The first time I used these rails to transport my kayak, the rail broke at the angle that attached it to the car. My kayak and part of the carrier flew off my car in the middle of a busy three-lane highway. Luckily there wasn't an accident related to the kayak landing in the middle of the highway with part of the carrier still attached. My kayak and the carrier were destroyed. I am out the cost of these rails ($119), the cost of the carrier, and my kayak ($400). This is a loss of over $500 for me. I have attempted to contact the company but have been unable to determine who they are and how to contact them.

Relatively inexpensive rail option which work with many different accessories. Simple install. We have used these with a metal roof rack/basket, to haul a canoe, transporting supplies for home improvement, bringing home our family’s Christmas tree, etc. Very satisfied with how versatile it is and how well it protects our car’s roof.
